(Clearwisdom.net) On October 26 and 27, 2002, the Fourteenth Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit Meeting was held in Los Cabos, Mexico. Falun Gong practitioners from Mexico and five other countries were also present in front of the Chinese Embassy in Mexico City to send forth righteous thoughts and peacefully protest Jiang's persecution of Falun Gong in China.

From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Falun Gong practitioners performed their exercises on the lawn across from the Chinese Consulate and gave truth-clarifying literature to the pedestrians. Practitioners also sent forth righteous thoughts every 30 minutes. The pedestrians stopped to receive Dafa materials, and inquired about the local practice sites. Passing drivers honked their car horns to express support and sympathy. Local police officers in patrol cars waved to greet practitioners and made the familiar "V" hand signal. There were eight police officers in front of the Chinese Consulate. After hearing the truth about the persecution in China, one officer said he and his family would go to a local practice site to learn Falun Gong. Two reporters of a local newspaper (REFORMA) interviewed practitioners and took photographs.

At night, a candlelight vigil was held. The light from one row of candles shined upon the pink lotus flower, and upon the dignified, solemn and respectful faces of practitioners. Illuminated by the streetlight and candlelight, pedestrians conversed with practitioners. Three young boys earnestly learned the exercises and happily went home with our Dafa material, bookmarks and the lotus flowers. A half hour later, they returned to sit with us to hold the vigil.

Practitioners continued their activities of peaceful protest, studied the Fa and shared experiences between the times of sending forth righteous thoughts. In the evening, suddenly, there was a heavy rain, but that could not prevent practitioners from sending forth righteous thoughts beneath the eaves and inside the vehicles to eliminate the evil elements in other dimensions controlling bad people to persecute Dafa and practitioners.
