(Clearwisdom.net) [Beijing] Tsinghua University Student Liu Zhimei Is Illegally Detained at Jinan City's Women
Prison in Shandong Province Ms. Liu Zhimei, over 20 years old, is a student of Tsinghua University. She was arrested around
May 2001 and sent back to her hometown from Beijing in November 2002. She is now illegally detained
at Jinan City's Women Prison in Shandong Province. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Lawyer Mr. Meng Kai Is Sentenced to Seven Years Imprisonment After Dafa practitioner lawyer Mr. Meng Kai from Yueyang City was arrested for making Dafa
truth-clarifying materials, policemen from the Tuqiao Station, led by Zhao Zihu, forcibly broke into
and ransacked his home in the owners' absence. They confiscated a cell phone, a pager, over 1,000
Yuan cash [500 Yuan is the average monthly income in urban areas of China] and a deposit book
containing over 8,000 Yuan. Li Yonghui, director of the Tuqiao Police Station later denied this. The
lawless policemen in Yueyang City treated Meng Kai's case as a "big case" and schemed to
sentence him to a prison term. When in court, Meng Kai defended himself. As the judge couldn't defeat Mengon on legal grounds,
he announced a recess and then did not allow Meng to present any more evidence in defense. Facing
this unfair treatment, Meng's mother went to the court and asked for justice. Personnel at the court
were speechless and furious and in retaliation they added three more years to Meng's imprisonment.
As a result, the judge sentenced Meng Kai to seven years of imprisonment. Meng is now being held at

Belief in Dafa Dafa practitioner Mr. Lu Hai is from Wujianshan, Linxiang City, Hunan Province. He graduated from
the Electrical Engineering and Automation Department of Xiangtan University and received a B.S.
degree. He was employed at the Yueyang Paper Corporation, but was fired because he went to Beijing
to appeal for Falun Gong. In January 2001, he was illegally detained for going to Beijing to appeal
and suffered torture at various detention centers, including Beijing City's Tiananmen Police
Precinct, at Xuanwu District's Detention Center, at Jiangxi Province's Ruichang Detention Center and
also at Yueyang City's No.1 Detention Center. During these times, Lu was tortured to a very
horrifying state. In July 2001, fearing that he might die in the detention center, personnel from
Yueyang City's Detention Center released him. Ten days after he returned home, policewoman Li Yuxia
from the Hongjiazhou Police Station arrested him again. After being detained at the Linxiang Police
Precinct and the Tuqiao Police Precinct in Yueyang City, he was sent to Changsha City's Xinkaipu
Forced Labor Camp, for the simple reason that he refused to sign his name on the so-called
"Repentance Statement." Under all kinds of situations, Lu Hai persisted in saying,
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is right," and "Falun Dafa is good." The
vicious forces attempted to completely destroy Lu, but Lu Hai said, "the Law of the universe is
indestructible and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is indestructible." After over a year's
persecution, Lu Hai walked out of the labor camp, openly and nobly. But, due to the vicious
persecution, Lu lost his residency identification card, university graduation certificate, diploma
certificate, and his job and personal freedom. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioner Luo Yuanying Remains Steadfast After Being
Imprisoned at Various Locations Dafa practitioner Ms. Luo Yuanying from Wuhan City is 43 years old. On October 25, 2000,
personnel from the No.1 Section of Wuhan City's Police Department arrested her at a practitioner's
home and took her to Wuhan City's No.1 Women's Detention Center. As Luo resisted the vicious
persecution and persisted in doing the Falun Dafa exercises, she was often tortured with
excruciating means and later on sentenced to two years of forced labor. In the forced labor camp,
her righteous thoughts and righteous actions completely broke through the vicious brainwashing. When
her imprisonment term expired, the district's "610 Office" authorities [An agency
specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration
in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] forcibly took her to Jiang'an
District's brainwashing class. Because Ms. Luo persisted in doing the Falun Dafa exercises, she and
another practitioner, Ms. Zhou Xia, were constantly and inhumanely tortured, being handcuffed behind
the back and denied sleep. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] "610 Office" Hires Gangsters to Brutally Torture Dafa
Practitioners, Including Wang Qinglian and Li Xiuhua Dafa practitioners from the Wuchang District, including Ms. Wang Qinglian, have been staging a
hunger strike for six days and their lives are in danger. In the Yangyuan brainwashing class, they
suffered all kinds of torture. Personnel from the "610 Office" even extorted from them 900
Yuan per month for so-called "living expenses" and hired gangsters to inhumanely torture
Dafa practitioners, including Ms. Wang Qinglian and Ms. Li Xiuhua. (The 610 Office is an agency
specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration
in the Party and all other political or judicial systems.) [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Arrest and Torture of Dafa Practitioner Mr.
Lan Yongchun (Pseudonym) On November 15, policemen forcibly took practitioner Mr. Lan Yongchun away from
an Internet bar opposite the Harbin Economic Institute. Afterwards, his home was ransacked. Other
practitioners who were living with him all safely left. Lan Yongchun is now detained at Harbin
City's Police Department. His cellular phone and pager were confiscated. Policemen tortured him
during interrogation to learn the names and location of the practitioners who were contacting him. [Beijing] Atrocities in the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp I was detained at the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing. Many practitioners
have exposed its horror on the web. Now I will share with you what I know about this place. Many practitioners detained in the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp were sentenced to
forced labor without any legal evidence deserving such punishment. Some cases were unexplainable. A
college professor was detained merely because a Falun Gong book was found at his home. A Ph.D.
student was sent to the forced labor camp after nine months detention in the "Law Education
Center" [the government term for a brainwashing center]. However, his nine months
detention was not counted towards his overall prison term. Every time new practitioners were arrested, they were subjected to brainwashing
for the first two weeks. They had to go out early and did not come back until late, 11:00 p.m. or
midnight, on a daily basis. No one was allowed to talk. For those who policemen considered
"determined and not transformable," the police would arrange a special class for them.
Several teams took turns to brainwash those practitioners. In the female division of the labor camp,
practitioners were deprived of sleep during the first three days. However practitioners remembered
Master's words, "Coercion Cannot Change People's Hearts" in their minds.
Recently, in the female division, many practitioners who had gone astray due to forced brainwashing
became clearheaded again and came back to Dafa cultivation. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Arrest of Practitioner Tang Yongqi In September of 1999, practitioner Mr. Tang Yongqi from Yueyang City, Hunan
Province went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. After being detained for six months, he was
sentenced to two years probation. During this time, under the guise of wanting "to have a
talk," policemen from Yueyang City's Nanhu Police Precinct, officials from Yueyang City's
Police Department and "610 Office" deceived Tang Yongqi and imprisoned him for a year.
After Tang Yongqi came back home in July 2001, officials from Yueyang City's "610 Office"
and the Police Department continuously harassed his family. In January of 2002, the authorities came to harass the Tang family again. They
wanted to take Mr. Tang away "for a talk." Ms. Li Yuyang, Mr. Tang's wife, (also a Dafa
practitioner) saw through their vicious intentions because she had already been deceived once. She
refused. However, they forcibly took both Mr. Tang and his wife away and detained them separately at
Yueyang City's No.1 Detention Center and Yueyang City's Linxiang Detention Center. No relatives were
allowed to visit them. It was said that Tang was tortured and brutally beaten in the detention
center. A disabled, over 80-year-old man was left at their home without care. Tang has been
sentenced to three years of imprisonment and is still detained at Yueyang City's No. 1 Detention
Center. [Hunan Province] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhang Lihong Has Often Been Illegally
Arrested and Money Was Extorted from her Husband Lawless policemen persecuting Falun Gong broke into Dafa practitioner Zhang
Lihong's home in the middle of the night and took her to Zhuzhou City's Baimalong Forced Labor Camp.
Fortunately her admission to the forced labor camp was rejected because of her hypertension. At the
end of 2001, vicious policemen again put her into the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp, but she was
refused for the same reason. She had been illegally detained at a detention center in Yueyang City
until last June but was bailed out after her husband had been extorted several thousand Yuan [500
Yuan is the average monthly income in urban areas of China]. It was heard that her husband has
been extorted many times. Because her family's financial situation is somewhat good, the local
officials took this chance to extort money for their own personal gain without giving any legal
reason. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Arrest of Dafa Practitioners Xu Yuchun and Zheng
Yan Ms. Xu Yuchun, over 40 years old, was arrested from home on November 18. Ms. Zheng Yan, over 40 years old, was arrested from home on the morning of
November 19. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Criminal Records of Persecutors from Yueyang
City's Paper Mill Li Yuxia, male, is an instructor of Yueyang City's Hongjiazhou Police Precinct,
Hunan Province. Since 1999, when the area's "610 Office" was formed, he and Chen Huiming
slandered Dafa and persecuted Dafa practitioners. The following are their criminal deeds: Before the Spring Festival of 2000, they entrapped many Dafa practitioners to a
police precinct in the name of having a talk, and then they forcibly sent the practitioners to
Yueyang City's No.1 Detention Center. Later they sent Dafa practitioners in detention directly into
a brainwashing center at Yueyang City's Paper Mill and kept on persecuting practitioners for six
months. Before the Spring Festival of 2001, without any proper legal procedure, they
illegally searched several Dafa practitioners' houses and forcibly took two Dafa practitioners away. In 2000, because Ms. Zhou Weihong went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, Li
Yuxia illegally sent her to a forced labor camp. In 2001 several days after her release, Zhou
Weihong encountered Li Yuxia and asked him the reason for being put into the forced labor camp. But
Li Yuxia was furious and again sent Zhou Weihong to the forced labor camp. In May 2002, Zhou Weihong
was released. On a night in September 2002, Li Yuxia, Chen Huiming and ten other people, including
Tian Ping and Yu Zhongye from Zhou Weihong's work unit, broke into Zhou's home and took Zhou Weihong
away again. Now Zhou is illegally detained at Yueyang City's Detention Center. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Movie Theaters Are Still Showing Films
