On Saturday evening, while at the Chinatown Fa study and experience sharing session, fellow practitioners discussed the tribulations faced by one practitioner and shared their own experiences. The following is an account some of the discussions:
Practitioner 1:
As the whole body of practitioners are united and become impenetrable, the evil cannot find a loophole to enter; fellow practitioners enduring tribulations can feel the combined strength and support of the whole body. They will have more strength to avoid losses and eliminate the persecution. This ought to be the current state of affairs.
In the past, I only conditionally assisted fellow practitioners with their tribulations. At that time I thought: if she cannot solve the problem by herself, then external influence will not help. I was not aware of the principle that all practitioners are within one body. When Teacher said, "The next person's things are your things, and your things are his things" ("Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference"), I began to review the tribulations of fellow practitioners from the angle of a single entity: each practitioner's attachments must be discarded by himself/herself; practitioners' paths in cultivation have been arranged by Teacher, not by the process of eliminating attachments through tests arranged by the evil. Since the tribulations have been forced upon us by the evil, then it is necessary to eliminate it resolutely and unconditionally.
Practitioner 2:
1. Particles and the Entity
A particle can be compared with the universe, with numerous universes composing the celestial body. If, within a region, the practitioners constitute an entity, and if within that entity there is a practitioner who is unable to overcome the tribulations or overcomes them with difficulty, can it be assumed that the entity is thereby restricted and cannot progress further because of this tribulation? If this is the case, then every particle within the entity has some responsibility towards that entity. Noting that the practitioner is so slack, it is perhaps because each practitioner is also not doing his/her part. Knowing that the entity is in strife, it could be due to the problem of the individual. From the angle of searching within and acting in accordance with Teacher's requirements, whenever we are confronted with a problem we should first look within ourselves, expose our attachments, and contemplate whether we have fulfilled our responsibilities. Only then will righteousness and harmony ensue.
2. Genuinely Search Within
Teacher has distinctly explained all of the principles in cultivation and the requirements for practitioners during the Fa-rectification period. We are putting them into practice to improve ourselves. The process is akin to severing human sentiments and walking away from ordinary human notions. Only then can we be free from restraints.
Practitioner 3:
Each of us is assisting Teacher in each location of the realm of cultivation, clarifying the truth in order to save the sentient beings while eradicating the persecution of Dafa and the Dafa practitioners by the evil influence. Faced with the persecution of Dafa by the evil, the question of being able to form into an entity indestructible like a diamond, to my understanding, is whether we can keep up with Teacher in the important step of progressing in Fa-rectification.
No matter at what level we are positioned in our cultivation, whether we are veterans or new practitioners, including those sentient beings supporting us, only when we have the righteous thought to stop and to eliminate the evil can we solidify into one entity within this common righteous thought. It is not necessary to argue with our fellow practitioners about methods or understandings. If the ideas are beneficial to Dafa, we must support them. We can complement each other's understandings and our pure thoughts for Dafa will be complete. In this way, when we are faced with difficulties, our combined strength will cause the self-destruction of the evil.
As our fellow practitioners are faced with immense tribulations, our first thought should be to eradicate the evil persecuting them. To elevate ourselves and to search within, we must conform to the path arranged by Teacher and to cultivate within the Fa. Even if there were no persecution by the evil, we should still search within and cultivate. The persecution by the evil is incapable of assisting the elevation of the practitioners since assaulting the practitioners will not bring out their righteousness. Therein lies the danger of the evil--under pretext and using the persecution of the Dafa practitioners as an excuse when in fact, their real aim is to damage Dafa as well as poison the minds of the sentient beings.
Practitioner 4:
Genuinely searching inwards in a more extensive scope forms a righteous stage in which to establish a harmonious entity.
It is necessary for us to understand that by conforming to the Fa in our own sphere, which is required of us, we would be within this harmonious Fa. In fact, the sharing of experiences among fellow practitioners also requires tolerance. The magnitude of the tolerance can effectively generate the atmosphere of harmonious sharing which will enable unimpeded expression of each fellow practitioner's thoughts. It will enable each of us to be patient and absorb the experiences of others and not guard our own firmly entrenched views. Practitioners will be able to genuinely search inwards, and not search inwards only under supervision. That will result in really achieving the purpose of the experience sharing with everyone improving and elevating together. The whole entity is thus advancing and eliminating the arrangements of the old forces.
If we over-emphasize personal understandings, we will not be able to correctly comprehend the understandings of fellow practitioners. That will result in barriers being built amongst practitioners, thus causing disharmony within the entity. If, in the midst of our practice, there are many such barriers, our cultivation environment will not be upright and thereby allow the evil to penetrate the loopholes. Conversely, if we can be more aware and recognize the good points of our fellow practitioners, reflect upon them, and search within for our inadequacies, the negative environment will be reversed. In fact, the changes in the environment are in agreement with our own changes in xinxing. As our demeanor becomes more consistent, everything changes instantly.
Therefore, in the final stage of the Fa-rectification, how to improve our demeanor, really search within, and encompass a larger righteous environment and thus form a harmonious entity, is of utmost importance.
