Many Falun Dafa practitioners are detained in the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp even after the completion of their terms. The labor camp authorities refuse to release them, using the excuse that they are waiting for some release documents.

Ms. Zhang, a Falun Dafa practitioner from the No.7 Institute of Information Industry Department, was arrested when she went back to her hometown to clarify the truth to people before the 16^th Party Congress. Her whereabouts are unknown.

On October 25, 2002, people from the court in the Taiping area examined the financial records of the Zhenxin Company because they were given a tip about some financial irregularities. They discovered some Falun Dafa materials and reported this to the Daowai Public Security Bureau. The Daowai Public Security Bureau immediately confiscated the safe that was in the Financial Department of the company. The police illegally pried open the safe but didn't find any Falun Dafa materials. However, they lied, claiming that they found 2000 flyers in order to get a financial reward.

Pang Lei and Yang Yizhong, two Falun Dafa practitioners who worked for the company, had to leave home in order not to be illegally arrested. The police threatened the company that they must find them within three days. After a few days, Yang Yizhong, Bian Lijun (Yang's wife), Yang Yulin (Yang's son) and Li Xiubo (Yang's mother) were arrested at their relative's home in another county. After the police extorted 20,000 Yuan (equal to more than three year's income for an average urban worker in China) from them, they released Bian Lijun and Yang Yulin. Yang Yizhong is still illegally detained at the Daowai Public Security Bureau. His mother, Li Xiubo, was sent to the Yaziquan No.2 Detention Center in Harbin City. Pang Lei is still homeless.

Around 43 Falun Dafa practitioners are being detained at the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center in Lanzhou City. The brainwashing center uses practitioners who have succumbed to torture to persuade and coerce practitioners to give up "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." They do everything they can to distort Teacher's articles and deceive practitioners. Practitioners who are firm in cultivation practice are sent to the No. 1 Forced Labor Camp in Gansu Province for more severe persecution.

Because they have remained firm in their cultivation, Practitioners Qu Shufan (female) and Guan Longmei (female) were illegally sentenced a month ago to one and a half years in a forced labor camp. They are being detained at the Ping'antai Forced Labor Camp.

Lanzhou practitioner Wu Shenghe was arrested on May 3, 2002. He was first detained in the Xiguoyuan Detention Center, and then the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center, where he resisted resolutely and refused to give up Falun Dafa. In mid November, he was sent to the Ping'antai Forced Labor Camp.

Ren Shuzhen, female, 63 years old, was sent to the brainwashing center on May 30, 2002. Because she remains firm in her cultivation, the authorities plan to sentence her to forced labor camp.

The Police from Changchun City are examining the residential ID cards and the status of those renting houses.

Zhuang Rongzhen, female, 55 years old, had to leave home in order to avoid illegal detention. On October 29, she went back home to retrieve a personal item she needed. At about 9:00 a.m. the next day, the Xinlicheng Police Substation arrested her at home. She was then sent to the No.3 Detention Center in Shuangyang. She has been illegally sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp.

Lanzhou practitioners Wang Yuqing and his wife Zhao Ting have often suffered from persecution because they won't give up Falun Dafa. Their home has been searched many times, and they have been detained. Zhao Ting was arrested on December 3, 2002 at work. She escaped later using righteous thoughts and has been homeless ever since. Wang Yuqing was arrested on September 28, 2002 at home. He was sent to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center. Their twelve-year-old child was left alone at home. A happy family was thus broken up. We appeal to people with a sense of justice to stop this terrible persecution.
