Seven Dafa Practitioners Illegally Tried and Sentenced in Daqing City to As Much as Twelve Years

December 14, 2002

(Clearwisdom.net) On November 15, 2002, Hong'gang District Court in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province illegally tried seven Dafa practitioners: Zhang Zhong, Li Hai, Zhang Xingye, Yao Bin, Jia Shenghui, Jiang Derong, and Sun Xinghe. In addition to the seven Dafa practitioners, the only other people present were court personnel and over 30 police officers. Since they were kept in the dark about this trial, the Dafa practitioners' family members and friends could not attend. The trial did not follow any legal procedure. These Dafa practitioners had not seen each other for a long time. Jia Xinghui was kidnapped in June of this year; the other six practitioners were kidnapped in April. They met together to hold a discussion and share experiences right before the trial. The court authorities presented a trial record that was prepared long before the trial and ordered the Dafa practitioners to sign the document. The Dafa practitioners refused. The court personnel told the Dafa practitioners, "We also don't want to do it this way, but your case was decided by the provincial authorities. Do you have anything to say?" Dafa practitioners maintained their righteousness and solemnly declared their innocence.

The trial was hastily concluded, and the court did not announce a decision publicly. However, it had already been decided internally to heavily sentence the practitioners: Zhang Zhong 12 years, Li Hai 12 years, Zhang Xingye 10 years, Yao Bin 9 years, Jia Shenghui 7 years, Jiang Derong 7 years, Sun Xinghe 7 years.

Zhang Xingye, Li Hai, Jia Shenghui have already been sent to Hongweixing Prison in Daqing City. Until they were imprisoned, they still did not know to how many years they were sentenced. They only learned of their sentences when their families came to visit them. Zhang Xingye and Li Hai insisted that they were not guilty, refused to put on the prisoner uniforms and kept on practicing Falun Gong. They are now under 24 hour surveillance and are being beaten. Practitioner Zhang Zhong, because of the severe abuse, is experiencing problems with his legs and cannot walk on his own. He is still locked up in Daqing City's detention center. Zhang Xingye had to carry him on his back into court for the trial. It is still unknown where Yao Bin, Jiang Derong, and Sun Xinghe were sent.

We hope that Dafa practitioners will send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all the evil factors in other dimensions that are persecuting these Dafa practitioners.
