Haikou City's "610 Office" Illegally Persecutes Practitioner Yang Mingcong

(Clearwisdom.net) In the early morning of January 9th, 2002, police arrested Dafa practitioner Yang Mingcong in Haikou city. His house was illegally ransacked by Ma Kai, the chief of Political Security Section, and ten other police that same evening. They took his Dafa truth-clarification materials, motorcycle, identification documents, cassette player, cash, and bankbook, among other things. So far, they have only returned the cash and the bankbook. His brother tried to escape but fell from the third floor and hurt his back.

On January 10th, Yang Mingcong was detained in the Haikou No.2 Detention Center, where he was held for approximately six months. Later, he was transferred to a forced labor camp in Qiongshan City and sentenced to three years of "reeducation through labor." The police did not inform his family of his situation or whereabouts.

The personnel of "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] and Ke Tingxiong, the deputy director of the Public Security Bureau in Qiongshan City, joined forces to persecute Dafa practitioners. Zeng Qiang, an official in the forced labor camp, forced Dafa practitioners' relatives and friends to slander Teacher Li before visiting Dafa practitioners or lose the opportunity to see their loved ones.
