A Female Practitioner's Letter to Her Husband from a Detention Center

Xiao Jie, How are you?

For three years, in order to validate the Fa and clarify the truth, the two of us [husband and wife] stepped forward together, and with righteous belief in Dafa and righteous enlightenment, we have walked our path nobly up to now and have done all that we should do.

It has been nine months since we parted. Although we have been ruthlessly separated, yet our hearts are always united and will never be apart.

I was sent to the No. 1 detention center in November 2001 for refusing to give up practicing "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." There are a few other Dafa practitioners in my cell who are also illegally detained. Practitioners from outside of the detention center have managed to send us the pocket version of Zhuan Falun and Master's new articles, and we have also established contact with fellow practitioners in other cells. How are the few of you getting on?

The indictment has been passed down. As soon as I received the indictment, I started to write with concentration. Although this is a form of persecution, we must still grasp this opportunity to clarify the truth to people working in police units and judiciary systems, to arouse their kindness so that they will not continue to do bad things and will change their attitude of hatred towards Dafa, and to help them have a righteous understanding about Dafa. I have submitted three documents: "Statement in Court," "Dafa Disciples' Aspirations on May 13^th, World Falun Dafa Day," which I put together now and then, and "On July 20^th." I submitted all three documents to tell those people the truth about Falun Dafa, because they too need to be saved.

Whenever I read what Master said, "Whether it's the bitter cold of winter, the intense heat of summer, or when everything is covered by ice and snow, or in the pouring rain, and no matter what people's attitudes are or how difficult it is, you haven't let up."

(Touring North America to Teach the Fa) I would recall that during the last three years, no matter if it was cold or hot, snowing or raining, so many Dafa practitioners extended all their energy and sweat in clarifying the truth. It is a great honor that we can fully play our role as Dafa particles in the Fa-rectification period, and are able to cherish this first-time-ever opportunity to assist Master in Fa-rectification. It is truly great. It is an honor for us, and an honor for all Dafa disciples.

We are very fortunate because we have attained the great, high-virtue Fa and because we are with our Master in the Fa-rectification period; we are blessed with happiness, because we are able to share hardships together in the face of huge tribulations. We cherish yesterday, and should do better today, and more importantly, we must walk our path well tomorrow and create a beautiful future.

Although we are deprived of the right to see our family members, still they come to visit me every month. Particularly on May 13^th, the World Falun Dafa Day, they sent me something especial. All this greatly encouraged my fellow practitioners and me. I'm very grateful to them for their understanding and support. Our daughter will enter high school this year, and I'm very concerned about her well-being. I have written her two letters, encouraging her to focus her mind on the Fa and study well. I have also copied the song "Be Saved" for her, which was composed by a Dafa disciple. I wonder if she has received it. We sing this song almost every day, and almost everyone in the cell learned how to sing it. There is a person here who used to be detained together with Dafa practitioner Yan Mei (pseudonym). She was deeply moved by Yan Mei's deeds, and as a result she also attained the Fa and has been very diligent and solid in her cultivation. She has spoken from the bottom of her heart, "I too want to be a Dafa disciple in the Fa-rectification period." We hope that all beings who have attained the Fa in jail will show brilliance in Fa-rectification as well.

No matter what the path will be like ahead of us, we should regard the Fa as our teacher and "Follow Teacher closely, steadfastly cultivating Dafa," cultivate our xinxing at all times and take each step on our own cultivation path well. When we meet again, we will be following Master home with accomplished wishes!
