Falun Dafa Practitioners Resist the Persecution by Leaving Wangcun Forced Labor Camp

On October 24, 2002, in the No.2 Forced Labor Camp of Shandong Province (Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City), five Falun Dafa practitioners rushed out of the gate of the forced labor camp. The practitioners' resistance to the persecution shocked the evil people.

At 5:00pm on October 24, Xia Binquan and four other Falun Dafa practitioners who were forced to work in the carpet workshop of the forced labor camp took a break by going to the restroom. They could see that the gate of the forced labor camp was left open. They ran to the gate together. One of them, Duan Dedao was intercepted at the gate. The other four successfully rushed past the gate and ran toward the hills, where there was little sign of human habitation. Because they had been tortured for a long time in the forced labor camp, they were extremely weak. The police caught them when they were halfway up the hill. The police forcibly dragged them back and cruelly tortured them and punished them physically. They used electric batons and other kinds of cruel torture instruments to force the practitioners to repent and write promise statements to quit practicing Falun Gong. Now, these five practitioners are being closely watched and have no personal freedom.

These five are Xia Binquan, from Xia'an Village, Zhifang Town, Jiaxiang County, Jining City, Shandong Province; Pan Weiyou, from Xiaopanjia Village, Zangjiazhuang Town, Xixia, Yantai City, Shandong Province; Duan Dedao, from Dong Village, Duozhuang Town, Mengyin County, Linyi City, Shandong Province; Shang Weifeng, from Hongshaozi Village, Xueye Town, Laiwu City, Shandong Province; Liu Xiujun, from Fujia Village, Baoji Town, Binzhou City, Shandong Province.

Wangcun Forced Labor Camp is currently brutally persecuting several dozen Falun Dafa practitioners.

Forced Labor Camps' Use of the Water Dungeon

The interior of the water dungeon in the forced labor camp is a big cement pool. Next to it is an iron rack that is used to hang people in the water, and above that is a cement cover. The people inside can't tell whether it is day or night. The water is so deep that people cannot touch the bottom and have to move continuously and keep awake. Modern scientific experiments have proven that it is life-threatening to go without rest for 5 or more days. The water dungeon is one of the tools commonly used by forced labor camps to persecute practitioners.

The forced labor camps have temporarily stopped using the water dungeon because they have an even crueler instrument of torture. It is a specially made electric baton. Electrically shocking the human body is cruel torture, even more vicious than the water dungeon.

The Protests of Falun Dafa Practitioners in the Forced Labor Camps against the Persecution

In July 2002, Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Guangbao from Guan County, Shandong Province condemned the persecution of the evil thugs and clarified the truth to them. However, the police accused him of threatening the policemen and extended his term of imprisonment for three months.

In mid July 2002, the forced labor camp held a conference of more than 700 people. During the conference, Falun Dafa practitioner Zhao Jianguo from Guan County stood up to tell the policemen in the forced labor camp his opinions and thoughts. But, he did not even finish one sentence when the person sitting next to him covered his mouth. He was held to the ground and cruelly beaten by 7~8 people in broad daylight. Then, he was dragged out of the conference hall and was strictly watched.
