Heartfelt Wishes From A Detention Center: "I Will Definitely Practice Falun Gong When I Get Out!"

(Clearwisdom.net) On January 8, 2002, I was forcibly sent to a detention center and held for three months. I met all kinds of people there. This is a group of people whose morality has become profoundly corrupted in the big dye vat of society.

Teacher said in "Drive Out Interference" (Essentials for Further Advancement II),

"The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts."

Teacher also said in "A Message" (Essentials for Further Advancement II),

"Clarifying the truth, at the same time as exposing the evil, restrains the evil and lessens the persecution; and exposing the evil is at the same time purging from people's minds the poison of the evil's lies and deception--it is saving people. This is the grandest mercy, because in the future several billion people are to obtain the Fa, and if people's minds contain thoughts that resist Dafa, once this evil drama is over a large number of human beings will begin to be weeded out, and people who have a predestined relationship to obtain the Fa or even a larger number of innocent people might be weeded out."

Under tight surveillance, we--the illegally detained Dafa practitioners--still persisted in clarifying the truth and exposing the evil to the convicts. Because of our righteous thoughts and righteous actions, many of the criminals realized the mistakes they had made. After their release, many of them helped us with our Fa-study and truth clarification. For example, some sent in paper and pens, while others helped Dafa practitioners contact their family members.

After learning the truth, a female drug dealer was very remorseful of her past behavior, and said with emotion, "I will definitely practice Falun Gong when I get out of here!"

An elderly man in his 60s said to us, "I will help distribute truth-clarification materials after I get out."

A male Christian said, "I believe in Falun Gong! Where can I get the book? There is nothing wrong with 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.' I know you will not get involved in politics."

A young man wrote about his earnest thoughts: "I have done many bad things. In the past, I did not know much about Falun Gong. After reading the truth-clarifying materials yesterday, I truly believe that Falun Gong is good. However, in a place like this, I cannot freely express what I want to say. I also want to practice Falun Gong. Such a dark society needs 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.' From now on, I am going to change myself for the better. I wish all the detained practitioners could regain freedom earlier. I also hope that more people will come to learn the truth about Falun Gong."

Another young man managed to send in paper and pens after he was released, and a note saying, "Mom, your son has now grown up. Please rest assured that I will be a good person, and take good care of yourself."

There are many more such stories. In fact, they all wanted to be good people. They just did not know how to go about it, nor did they know how to tell good from evil. From their perplexed looks, these precious lives seemed to call out, "We do not want to commit bad deeds. We just don't know how to be good. What is the truth? Dafa practitioners, please tell us about the truth. Please free us from this filthy world with your compassion and kindness!"
