On November 23, 2002, Falun Dafa practitioners attended a meeting of the Kansas State University Poetry Group where we were invited to present an introduction to Falun Dafa and the persecution in China.

The host of the meeting attended a seminar held jointly by Amnesty International and Falun Dafa practitioners the week before and learned about the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China. He had expressed interest in wanting to learn the exercises and invited us to attend the Poetry Group meeting.

Two of us began by introducing the history of Falun Dafa leading up to the cruel persecution. Then we read a few of Teacher's poems in both Chinese and English. We also played Pudu (a Falun Dafa instrumental composition) and a Western practitioner sang "Rumengling, Dedu." We concluded with a demonstration of the exercises. When we demonstrated the third exercise, the host encouraged the audience to participate along with us. Before we knew it, there were more than twenty people imitating our movements while the music played in the background. It was such a moving scene. When the demonstration ended, the host told everyone, "You've just experienced how beautiful and peaceful this practice is. But in China, people are tortured to death for doing these same movements."

At the end of the meeting, people approached us and expressed that they could not understand why such a good practice could be so brutally persecuted. Many people took Falun Dafa newsletters and CD's. Some of them carefully wrote down the locations of our group practice sites and expressed a desire to join us.

We felt that the effect of this activity was good. In just less than 20 minutes, we demonstrated the beauty and serenity of Dafa, exposed the evilness of the persecution, and introduced Dafa to people who might not have had an opportunity in their daily lives to come to know Dafa. We enlightened from this meeting that Dafa encompasses everything and leaves out nothing. We should fully utilize this environment that Dafa has created for the human level to introduce Falun Dafa and clarify the truth. There are all sorts of methods and activities that we can use today.
