A Murderer in Anqiu City, Weifang, Shandong Province, Was Released After Blaming the Act on Falun Gong


(Clearwisdom.net) Shortly before the mid-autumn festival in 2000, a tragedy happened in the Han's home in Yujiayingzi Village (Liujiarao Township, Anqiu City) Weifang, Shandong Province. Mr. Han and his wife Qiu were fighting when the wife decided to kill the husband. With the assistance of her children, she killed Han. Qiu was arrested shortly afterwards. What was unbelievable was that Qiu was released while she was detained. Soon people found out that while Qiu was detained, encouraged by the local police, she said that she practiced Falun Gong and that Falun Gong led her to lose her mind. She also complied with the local TV station who videotaped her. A dirty deal was cut and Qiu remains free.

The incident shocked everybody in the village who knows that Qiu had never practiced Falun Gong. How can a ruthless murderer be a Falun Gong practitioner? Mr. Li Hongzhi states very clearly in Zhuan Falun that "We have set strict requirements for practitioners that they should not kill." It was obvious that Qiu was not a practitioner. The incident was educational to local people. They realized that propaganda in the media against Falun Gong was false and it was used to slander Falun Gong.
