Toronto Practitioners Welcome Western Practitioners Who Appealed at Tiananmen Square

On the evening of February 16, Toronto practitioners once again came to the Toronto airport to welcome two western practitioners who participated in the international appeal on Tiananmen Square for Falun Gong. The practitioners held two posters in Chinese and English, "Welcome Back! The Western Falun Gong practitioners went to Tiananmen Square to clarify the truth to the people of China and let them know Falun Dafa is Good!"

Practitioners sang softly the songs "De Du (Be Saved)" and "Falun Dafa Hao"

When Adrian and David appeared in front of the welcoming crowd, Jason Loftus, who just came back from Beijing after validating Dafa on Tiananmen Square, presented them with flowers and hugged them warmly. Applause and Dafa songs resonated in the air. Practitioners were all tearful at the moving scene.

David gave an interview to a reporter of FGM TV. He said he was detained 29 hours in Beijing. He said there were so many policemen on Tiananmen ready to arrest anyone. He was asked to show his ID. When the police searched him and found Zhuan Falun, he was arrested at once. At the moment, three western practitioners were with him. He said there were many tourists watching the development of events. The practitioners constantly shouted "Falun Dafa Hao". David is a new practitioner. He said, "I am very happy I went to Tiananmen. I hope our peaceful appeal has a good effect." When he was asked what he wanted to say to the audience, David said, " Falun Dafa Hao."

Adrian is a tall young gentleman with glasses. When he showed up in front of everyone, he was not wearing his glasses. He explained to everyone that his glasses were broken by police on Tiananmen Square. He told reporters that he saw police everywhere. Many people were questioned. He was beaten up while validating Dafa. He was detained over 30 hours. During the period when he asked to meet with a Canadian embassy official, Chinese policeman said peremptorily, "This is China. We do not need to abide by any laws." When a reporter asked whether he got the chance to clarify the truth to police, Adrian said, "The police were all very rude. Most of them are 20-some years old. They have been so badly poisoned by the slanderous propaganda. The police sometimes behaved very fierce and maliciously. He said, "What I have encountered cannot be compared to what Chinese practitioners have experienced. I admire Chinese practitioners from the bottom of my heart."

When asked what he wanted to share with his fellow practitioners, Adrian said, "We should try our best to do what we should do. Practitioners in China are facing an extreme, severe situation. I could not imagine facing such an evil environment. What kind of righteous thoughts must Chinese practitioners have to step out to validate Dafa? It is difficult for us here to imagine. What we face is a very comfortable environment with pressure, but we have to remember our fellow practitioners in China. We need to try our best to do what we have to do."
