(Clearwisdom.net) Jilin Chemical Industry Corporation is located in Jilin City, Jinlin Province. At its peak, it had over 100,000 employees, was a key tax-paying entity in Northeast China and a model company for state-run enterprises.

Falun Dafa started to be widely spread in Jilin City beginning in early 1996. During the Chinese New Year of 1996, there were only a dozen people at a practice site. By July 20, 1999, the same site had expanded into many sites and had over 300 practitioners by itself. Quite a few employees of Jilin Chemical Industry Corporation had taken the path of cultivation, and many were coordinators for their practice sites. These employees worked very hard, many of them being technical experts and model workers of each factory every year. Their hard work brought many units of the corporation into a brand-new stage. Dafa practitioners validated the Fa with their actions, and many leaders of the corporation fully affirmed the Dafa practitioners' contributions to the company. They offered company facilities for free to their employees to study the Fa and practice exercises in a group.

Then, on July 20, 1999, Jiang's regime started the persecution of Dafa. In order to keep their official positions, some leaders of the Jilin Chemical Industry Corporation colluded with the perpetrators in the police departments to gain political capital by persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. Many practitioners in the corporation have been illegally sentenced to forced labor education, detained, suspended from work, had their salaries reduced and so on.

For example, No.101 Fuel Factory was one of the five biggest units of Jilin Chemical Industry Corporation, and it was infamous for persecuting Dafa. Falun Dafa practitioner Han Xicai determinedly went to Beijing alone to appeal for Dafa after July 20, 1999. Since all means of public transportation were completely closed off from practitioners, he walked for a month with amazing perseverance and finally arrived in Beijing. After the appeal, he was kidnapped and taken back to Jilin City by the corporation's hired thugs, and he was soon sentenced to forced labor by the security division of No. 101 Fuel Factory and City Police Department. Practitioners Pei Jilin and his wife, both employees of No.101 Fuel Factory, were illegally sentenced to forced labor, leaving their college freshman child alone at home. When the security division of No.101 Fuel Factory came to their child and requested that he cooperate with the persecution, they were firmly refused by the talented student of the University of National Defense Science and Technology in Beijing. Practitioner Zhang Jun was also illegally sentenced to forced labor for refusing to sign the so-called statement of "help and education"[to be brainwashed], and thus classified as "being a candidate to appeal"(for Falun Gong). In addition to the above examples, there were more Falun Dafa practitioners in No. 101 Fuel Factory illegally detained or sentenced to forced labor education.

For the benefit of their own political future, the leaders of No.101 Fuel Factory persecuted Dafa practitioners against their conscience and in spite of the fact that they were clearly aware of the important contributions the Dafa-practicing employees had made to the factory. Not only they did not gain any political benefits for what they had done, but on the contrary received their due retribution very soon. The factory was forced to close down in early 2001 , as it became the first bankrupt unit among the 5 entities of Jilin Chemical Industry Corporation.

In 2001, due to the defamation and attacks against Dafa by the leaders of Jilin Chemical Industry Corporation, the corporation kept receiving retribution, and the business struggled. The capital investment of over 10 billion Yuan [about US$1.2 billion] from China Petroleum Corporation did not turn the company around, rather it increased its debt by more than 1 billion Yuan. In early 2002, under the orders of the "610 office," each factory of the corporation frequently held conferences of "politics tasks," during which the party secretaries of each factory conveyed the spirit of the "610 office" to defame Dafa, and threatened to strengthen their efforts in brainwashing practitioners. [The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] It is odd that it was declared in October 1999 in the local newspaper of Jilin City that 99.9% of Jilin Chemical Industry Corporation employee practitioners had been transformed, but surprisingly in 2002 the task has become more "difficult." The law of retribution directly corresponds to people's behavior. The projected financial loss for Jilin Chemical Industry Corporation designated by China Petroleum was 100 million Yuan for the 2002 fiscal year. Just a month later, the losses in January 2002 alone exceeded 100 million Yuan.

We hereby solemnly warn the lawless officials of Jilin Chemical Industry Corporation that the saying "good is rewarded with good, and evil is met with evil" is the law of the universe. It can only result in rage from heaven and anger from the humans for you to defame Dafa against your conscience, while you are clearly aware that practitioners have brought enormous economic benefits to the corporation, and that Dafa has given plenty of benefit to society without any harm. Since July 20, 1999, many officials, policemen, and Party Secretaries have been awarded "certificates of excellence" and prizes by the evil force for persecuting Dafa. Wake up! Look at those in the police departments you are ganging up with, how many of them have received retribution already? A recent example is the sudden death of the Secretary of the Jilin City Political and Legal Committee. Can't all of these facts cause you to awaken?
