(ClearWisdom.net) On Saturday afternoon, January 26, 2002, there was a Chinese New Year celebration in a large museum in Philadelphia. Our local Falun Gong practitioners had a booth to demonstrate the exercises. It was the third time we participated in this annual celebration; but this time the effect was much better. First, more people attended the celebration this year, and we knew it was not just a coincidence. Secondly, our booth was in front of a Buddha statue, and was the first one seen by visitors to the activity area. Thirdly, we found that we attracted the most visitors when we were practicing the exercises, and even more when we were sending forth righteous thoughts.

We had sat down and sent forth our righteous thoughts for a while. When we opened our eyes, we found many visitors voluntarily signing our petition letter. Some even formed a line waiting to sign their names! The power of the Fa and our righteous thoughts were just so incredible!

More than one hundred people came to watch our demonstration. One lady, who had been practicing Taichi, said that it amazed her that each one of us was so peaceful, and she was deeply attracted by the exercises.

We handed out several hundred fliers to visitors of different ages and races. That day, many Chinese people were there, but we did not hear any bad words about Falun Gong from any of them. Many Chinese accepted our fliers, CDs, and brochures. A lady told us, "No one could be more peaceful than you. I just cannot understand why a government would persecute such an exercise!" A Western visitor told us her experience, "I heard something so somehow I was afraid of your Falun Gong. However, our conversation here has just cleared up a lot of my confusion. Now, I would like to learn it. Do you have any workshops that I can attend?" On hearing their words, we realized that contacting various people is very important for Fa-clarification. Dozens of people asked where they could learn to practice Falun Gong; and many took home the book Zhuan Falun and an exercise instruction tape.
