Falun Gong Practitioners from Greater New York Hold Candlelight Vigil (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) After the 24-hour hunger strike of Western practitioner William Zuur from Camden County College, numerous Falun Dafa practitioners from greater New York area held a candlelight vigil and sent forth righteous thoughts in front of the Chinese Consulate from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on March 21, 2002.

At about 8:45 p.m., a strong wind came through, the temperature dropped suddenly, and practitioners were assaulted by rain and sand. The practitioners realized that it was a test from evil forces. They didn't move but sent forth righteous thoughts. The rain stopped after a short time. In the cold wind, numerous Dafa practitioners held a banner demanding the Jiang regime to stop killing Falun Gong practitioners.

Dafa practitioner William Zuur participated in the 5-hour candlelight vigil just after the 24-hour hunger strike. He is 16 years old and has a good understanding of Dafa, even though he started practicing only four months ago. Another western practitioner, Matt, started practicing Dafa 8 months ago and is determined in his cultivation. He supported William's hunger strike and withstood the strong wind and cold.

Numerous passersby were moved by the Dafa practitioners' appeal for the Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted in China, accepted truth-clarifying information and offered good suggestions on clarifying the truth.
