Falun Dafa Practitioners Hold Peaceful Appeal in Front of Chinese Consulate in Durban, South Africa on "Human Rights Day"
Reported by practitioners from Durban, South Africa
March 23, 2002 (Clearwisdom.net) March 21 is "Human Rights Day" in South Africa. Many local human
rights groups held various activities to celebrate this public holiday. Falun Dafa practitioners in Durban gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate
in Durban to hold a photo exhibition and group practice. As Jiang's regime
carries on its vicious policy of murdering Falun Dafa practitioners in China,
more and more practitioners' lives are in danger. We made the peaceful appeal to
the local South African people and government to support the human rights of
Falun Dafa practitioners in China, and demanded Jiang's regime to stop its
illegal and brutal persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners. Our activities drew the attention of many passersby. Some drivers stopped in
front of the poster boards and read them. We also presented flyers to the
policemen on site and clarified the truth of Falun Dafa to them, in spite of
some staff from Chinese Consulate trying to interfere with our activity.
