Miraculous Story: How a 70 Year-Old Man Obtained Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) In August 1996, I went together with many fellow practitioners to a city in Heilongjiang Province to participate in an experience sharing conference. A 70 year-old, very healthy looking man strode up to the podium and told the miraculous story of how he obtained Dafa.

He said, "The reason why I obtained the Fa goes back to a dream I had 44 years ago. I remembered this dream clearly in my heart all the time, even the details. Here I will only tell you the major parts. In the dream, a scoundrel chased me with a knife in his hand. I ran forward desperately. Suddenly there appeared a small river, just as he almost caught up to me. I couldn't move on. I then saw a small boat in the river, and as I worried, a log bridged the bank and the boat. I ran quickly over the log and into the boat. The log disappeared in a minute as soon as the scoundrel's feet touched it. He was shocked and was left standing on the bank. The little boat navigated forward. The elderly gentleman I then saw with me in the boat was silent. With a bamboo stick in his hands, he slowly turned pages in a book, page by page. I looked carefully at every page he turned. There was not a single word on it! I was confused. How come there was not a single word? All were portraits. On the first page, there were dense and numerous small portraits, so many and so small that you could not tell them apart. As the pages were turned, there were bigger and bigger portraits but fewer and fewer of them. On the last page there was only one Buddha, sitting on a lotus blossom. As he turned the book over, th elderly gentleman said, 'Young man, you have 25 years of life. You have lived up to this day because of three good things you have done in your life. You accumulated your De.' [virtue] He then went on to tell me what these three good things were." This 70 year-old practitioner's story was quite moving. He went on to say that, "The three things that elderly man in the boat told were exactly what I experienced before I was 25 years old. He was absolutely right!"

After telling his story, the practitioner continued, "One day, I visited a friend whose whole family are all Falun Gong practitioners. I looked at Master Li's photo sitting on the lotus on the cover of Zhuan Falun. I was shocked! I knew this man. It was he who I had seen on the last page of that book, the picture of the Buddha. I was so happy. I wanted to practice Falun Gong too! Since then, I have walked the path of a Dafa disciple."

What a story! It made people think deeply! A good root brings forth good fruit; an evil deed meets evil outcomes. It is just like the old Chinese saying, "What you suffer in this life is the result of actions in your previous life; what you do in this life will determine the consequences in your next life." This reasoning and the results from this law are really true. Doesn't this man's story serve as evidence that "Good will be rewarded with good, evil will receive retribution?"

Kind people, please remember that Falun Dafa is good. That is because "Truthfulness, Benevolence and Forbearance" is the basis for all good things in life. If you have the fortune, you will continuously hear more cultivation stories about Falun Dafa cultivators' kind, miraculous, solemn and stirring, colorful experiences.
