Friendship School of Hobart, Australia Holds Falun Dafa Seminar and Photo Exhibition (Photos)

Friendship School in Hobart is an independent international school with a long history and a good reputation. With 1,300 students, the school advocates peace and is against any form of violence. Recently the deputy principal of the school invited Falun Gong practitioners to give a seminar on Falun Gong and the persecution in China to 130 10th grade students.

Practitioners talked about their personal experiences of body and mind improvement from Falun Dafa cultivation, as well as the persecution happening in China. Afterward, a short Falun Gong video program was shown. The peacefulness of Falun Gong and the brutal persecution conducted by Jiang's regime's formed a strong contrast. The seminar left a strong impression on the students and teachers who attended the seminar and Falun Gong later became a hot topic at the school.

Under such circumstances, the deputy principal once against invited Falun Gong practitioners to give a seminar to 8th grade students on Falun Gong with emphasis on the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Practitioners prepared some photos that showed Dafa practitioner's peacefulness and benevolence as well as the brutal persecution of Jiang's regime conducted against innocent Falun Gong practitioners. They stressed that the persecution is escalating and Jiang's regime has issued an order of "kill without pardon." The seminar concluded with a question and answer session.

The Dafa photos left people with a strong visual impact and the deputy principal and library staff decided to hold a one-week "Peaceful Journey of Falun Dafa" Photo Exhibition in the school's library. Library staff took some photos and selected one as the background image of the library homepage. The director in charge of teacher vocational development and body and mind improvement designated Falun Gong as one of the selective courses for teachers' continuing education. Over a dozen teachers including the deputy principal and two directors attended the first class. After having learned the first and second exercises, they all felt the strong energy flow and asked to move the second session up. The deputy principal also arranged seminars for other students.
