[Beijing] After Two Years of Imprisonment in Jiamusi City's Forced Labor Camp, Lawless Police in Beijing Continue to Persecute Dafa Practitioner Mr. Niu Jinping

Lawless police officers in Jiamusi City illegally arrested Beijing Dafa practitioner Mr. Niu Jinping and sentenced him to two years of forced labor because in 2000, he attended a Fa experience-sharing meeting in the Sifengshan District. He always held to righteous beliefs in the vicious Jiamusi City's Forced Labor Camp and never yielded to the evil. His two-year term has expired. On April 1, 2002, officials of Jiamusi City's Forced Labor Camp notified Niu's family to pick him up but complications ensued. An individual named Wang Qing, deputy chief of Chaoyang District's Xiangheyuan Police Precinct in Beijing, as well as Sun Xiaoqing, a policeman in the precinct and Zhang Decai, director of the "610 Office" [An agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] and other officials in the Xianghe Street Community Office didn't allow Niu's family to pick him up. They secretly had someone go to Jiamusi City's forced labor camp ahead of time and escorted Mr. Niu back. Then Xue Youxin and other officials from the "610 Office" further persecuted Mr. Niu in a brainwashing center at the junction of the Chaoyang and Shunyi Districts.

After Mr. Niu went to appeal for the Fa in October 1999, lawless policemen in Beijing sent Mr. Niu into a mental hospital for brutal torture. Afterwards, he was illegally detained many times. He had been on a hunger strike for a long time in Jiamusi City's Forced Labor Camp. As a result, he was extremely weak. His mother, who is in her 70's, waits for him come back home everyday. She often mistakes other people as her son in the street and is in tears everyday. We hope people with a sense of justice from all walks of life will pay attention to this matter and provide support to practitioners.

[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Police Authorities Illegally Imprison Dafa Practitioner Mr. Li Zhiguang and Severely Harass His Family

Before February in 2001, Mr. Li Zhiguang and his wife and daughter refused to cooperate with the police. They were forced to leave home to avoid illegal arrest because they refused to go to a brainwashing class. Later, the police coerced his son, the only non-practitioner in Mr. Li's family, to aid the police to look for Mr. Li. They also interfered with each of his relatives. On February 10, 2002, when Mr. Li Zhiguang was clarifying the truth to people, he was reported by a thug, and subsequently arrested and sent to the Tiebei Detention Center. After being imprisoned for half a month, he was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor, and he is being detained at Changchun City's Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp.

Recently, after the truth-clarifying videos aired in Changchun City, policemen have relentlessly arrested practitioners. Police again harassed Mr. Li's family. As they could not find Mr. Li's wife and daughter at home, police officers took his son and his son's girlfriend to the police precinct and detained Mr. Li's son as a hostage. They confiscated his cellular phone and sent the telephone numbers recorded in the cell phone to the Communication Department for tracking. They also detained Li's son for two days, causing great emotional distress to the family.

[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Arrest of Three Additional Practitioners

Recently, police officers arrested three more Dafa practitioners. It was reported that one of them was arrested at the Chaoyang Police Precinct. Policemen found a practitioner's spouse through a pager and attempted to find other practitioners through this practitioner, who has left home to avoid illegal arrest.

[Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Policemen Responsible for Persecution against Dafa Practitioners

On March 18, in order to offer salvation to the deluded people, practitioner Xing Feng (pseudonym) from Haicheng City distributed Dafa truth-clarifying flyers along the main streets of the city. A passer-by sent him to the Zhanqian Police Precinct when he distributed a flyer to passers-by in Zhanqian Street. The person turned out to be the director of the Zhanqian Police Precinct. After being illegally detained for 15 days, Xing Feng was released after his family used all means possible to rescue him.

On March 21, practitioners Li Yun and Lan Ming (pseudonyms) from Haicheng City were detained in Haicheng City's Detention Center when they were arrested for distributing truth-clarifying materials in a village. They have been on a hunger strike since then.

On March 23, when practitioners Ms. Lan Hong distributed truth-clarifying materials in a village with her daughter, Yang Yang. Lawless policemen tricked them and detained Ms. Lan Hong. Yang Yang ran away. Ms. Lan Hong is holding a hunger strike and extremely weak. Guards took her to a hospital, and her current situation is unknown. Yang Yang, the daughter, is 12 years old. She lost her father when she was a small child, and since then mother and daughter have lived together. As a little Dafa practitioner, Yang Yang is very determined. She hopes that her mother will keep righteous thoughts and walk out of the demon's den.

Officials in Beijing's Xiyuan Hospital of the Chinese Traditional Medical Research Institute used all kinds of methods to locate a dismissed employee. This person is a Falun Dafa practitioner who had been forced to live in exile. They wanted to send him to a brainwashing class. Before the Spring Festival they forced the practitioner's family to turn in the deed to a purchased apartment of the hospital. They attempted to use this underhanded method to force the practitioner to come back. The practitioner has an over 80-year-old grandmother and a young son. His parents and his wife have led a very difficult life. The thugs not only forced the practitioner to live in exile, they also harassed his family. Now, they have even attempted to deprive them of their living quarters.

Another practitioner in this hospital was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor. Before the Spring Festival, he could not endure the torture at the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp. He wrote the "guarantee statement" [The statement renounce Falun Dafa, promise not to go to Beijing to appeal for Dafa, and promise not associate with other Dafa practitioners] and was released. Officials from the hospital and local police precinct often harassed his family because they did not believe that he was indeed "transformed." Not long ago, the practitioner announced all his statements made against Dafa to be null and void.

Before the Spring Festival, Dr. Li's husband, an over 70-year-old professor from Beijing University was sent to a brainwashing class again. Because he did not cooperate with the evil, he was sentenced to one-and-a-half years of forced labor.

On April 2, 2002, Dafa practitioners Zhang Guanghua, Wang Huipu, Lie Jinxia and Zhang Huiling from Beijing City's Chaoyang District were arrested again in a brainwashing class by officials from Chaoyang District's Xiangheyuan "610 Office" and also by local policemen. Collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] Su Xinhua and Jin Jianying also went to the brainwashing center located at the intersection of Beijing City's Chaoyang and Shunyi Districts to persecute practitioners. Su Xinhua has committed many wrong deeds. These collaborators and another one named Xu Qiuxia often betrayed Dafa practitioners and helped plain-clothes policemen and security people identify practitioners.

Because the AAPP (the Annual Meeting of the Association of Asian Parliaments for Peace) is going to be held at Chongqing City, the police authorities intensified the persecution and surveillance against Falun Gong. Some documents pertaining to the persecution have been sent down to every work unit. Furthermore, the police authorities also intensified the surveillance on the Internet. I heard from a friend that several days ago, the National Security Bureau came to his unit to investigate all the computers accessible to the Internet, and they found that one of these computers stored some records of visiting Minghui. At the end of March 2002, the lawless policemen of Shiqiao City's Jinqiao Police Precinct in Liaoning Province illegally arrested seven Dafa practitioners, including four female practitioners. In order to resist the persecution, these Dafa practitioners went on a hunger strike for seven days, and their lives were in extreme danger. They were sent to a hospital for force-feeding. Their current situation is unknown.

Dafa Practitioner Ms. Geng Shulan, from Shijiazhuang City, Heibei Province, is 40 years old and used to be an employee at Shijiazhuang City's No.4 National Cotton Factory. In October 2000, she was fired from her job for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. In early January of 2002, she was sent to Shijiazhuang City's No.1 Detention Center because she went to Beijing again. Geng Shulan went on a hunger strike for 28 days to demand an unconditional release. But officials in Chang'an District's Yucai Street Police Precinct sentenced her to three years of forced labor. Now she is detained at No.5 Division of Shijiazhuang City's Forced Labor Camp.

Dafa Practitioner Ms. Sun Zhengxia, 30 years old, from Shijiazhuang City, was a teacher at Huaidi Primary School. Because she insisted on practicing Falun Gong and resisting the brainwashing, she was forced to leave home to avoid being illegally arrested again. In January 2002, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Officials in Yuhua District's Huaidi Police Precinct illegally sentenced her to two years of forced labor. She is currently detained at the No.4 division of Shijiazhuang City's Forced Labor Camp. She has a three-year-old child at home.

[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Personnel from No.2 Detention Center Brutally Torture Dafa Practitioners

Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Hongying from Northeastern China resolutely safeguarded Dafa. She was brutally beaten by prisoners Liu Qiuzhen, who once force-fed practitioners with urine. Liu Shuying, Li Li and Sha Shuhong also persecuted her. Li Li kicked Ms. Zhao's eyes until they became swollen and her face was pinched until it was black and blue. Ms. Zhao was then sentenced to one year of forced labor.

Dafa practitioner He Wen (pseudonym) has been held in the detention center since the end of February. Practitioner Wang Yunman also safeguarded Dafa with his own life, staging a hunger strike to protest the illegal persecution. As a result, he was cruelly force-fed every day. The vicious prison doctor named Liu force-fed practitioners with very thick tubes while cursing the practitioners. As the tube was dry and hard, during the process of force-feeding it injured the esophagus and went all the way down into the stomach. The pain was so excruciating that the practitioners stomped the ground forcefully. Two fellow practitioners bled profusely after the force-feeding. He Wen is unable to stand up. The guards still don't stop their torture and claim that they wouldn't release practitioners even if the practitioners die.

[Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Persecution by Local Police - Beware of Chen Xiquan in Chengzihe District

In 2001, policemen from Jixi City's Chengzihe Police Precinct only arrested Dafa practitioner Wang Lansheng from Chengzihe District because he insisted on studying the Fa and practicing the exercises. Afterwards, Mr. Wang was put into Jixi City's No.2 Detention Center. Mr. Wang staged a hunger strike for more than 20 days to protest the illegal detention and later on, he was sent to Jixi City's Forced Labor Camp. In the labor camp, the wicked personnel bullied him badly. Mr. Wang was put into a solitary confinement because he did the exercises. During his hunger strike period, a prison doctor named Zhu forcibly put a tube with the diameter of a finger-width and 60cm (23 inches) long into Mr. Wang's stomach via his nose. Dr. Zhu removed it then forcibly pushed it in and out of the other nostril. One time, the doctor did this six or seven times and Mr. Wang bled badly. At the beginning, they force-fed him milk, then rice water, sometimes they used low-concentration saline water, and at the end they force-fed him high-concentration saline water. During his 115 days of hunger striking, Mr. Wang suffered all kinds of inhuman torture. On October 13, 2001, Mr. Wang openly walked out of the labor camp with dignity and again joined the magnificent Fa-rectification work.

Right after the 2002 Spring Festival (February), Mr. Wang sent Teacher's articles to a fellow practitioner and was tricked by this practitioners' husband Chen Xiquan. Mr. Wang was thus kidnapped by personnel from the Chengzihe Police Station and was put into Jixi City's No.2 Detention Center again.

Chen Xiquan, male, over 40, lives at Qijing Ziqiangwei of Chengzihe District. There are three people in his household. His wife Wang Shulan is a Dafa practitioner. Chen once deceived Wang Shulan and said that he also wanted to practice Falun Gong. Wang Shulan believed what he said and told him the location of the printing center where she belonged. In the end, Chen led some policemen to the place and destroyed the printing center and had two practitioners arrested. In the meantime, Chen Xiquan also betrayed his wife Wang Shulan.

Up to now, Chen Xiquan has reported information to the police many times and had six to seven practitioners persecuted.
