Zhong Laogen, a member of the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] in Yilan county, Heilongjiang province, arrested two Falun Dafa practitioners. The Dafa practitioners told him about the principle that good will be rewarded with good, evil will be met with evil. Zhong said, "I don't believe that I will receive retribution." Zhong made his living by transporting coal. One day later, while Zhong was transporting coal, his vehicle slipped off the highway. He fell out and was seriously injured. He spent 6000 Yuan [Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan] on medical treatment.

Yang Chunlin was 55 years old. In the beginning of 2000, he always monitored Dafa practitioners. On July 27, 2000, he reported that he had found Dafa practitioners, which resulted in the arrest of ten Dafa practitioners. On December 23, Yang suddenly lost consciousness and died on the way to Jialmusi city hospital. Until then, Yang had been very healthy.

Liu Laosan, Weizigou army vice secretary, fell into the ditch and was injured by his motorcycle on two occasions while he was chasing Dafa practitioners.
