Official Orders Permit Use of the Death Sentence: Shenyang City Government Escalates Its Persecution of Dafa Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) Last month (April 2002), an official document ordering the escalation of the persecution of Dafa practitioners was distributed to middle level officials of some government agencies in Shenyang city, Liaoning Province. The document called for a large-scale assault on practitioners, including a suggestion of using the death sentence.

For over two years, Shenyang police branches and local police stations at the district and county level (under the city government) and the "610 Office" [An agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] have arrested countless numbers of practitioners. The police used criminal interrogation and torture to force practitioners to give up their belief. Many practitioners were injured or permanently disabled, and some were even killed. The local police sent many practitioners' cases to the city level police, the prosecutor's office and the judiciary system, because there they could finalize their jail sentences. Neighborhood committees and police stations collaborated together in order to force practitioners to write so-called remorse documents. They also put Dafa practitioners under close surveillance. They even forced practitioners to attend brainwashing classes or detained them in forced labor camps.

For over two years, Shenyang City Dafa practitioners persevered in their effort to clarify the truth. They have woken up many innocent people, restored their righteous thoughts, and brought salvation to them. Eventually, the evil forces' persecution of Dafa practitioners will fail and all of the criminals will be brought to justice.
