An Eyewitness Account of Crimes Against Falun Dafa Practitioners Committed by the "610 Office" of Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province

(Clearwisdom.net) The following is an eyewitness account of acts of brutality and extortion against of Falun Dafa practitioners in Aoping Township, Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province.

The "610 Office" (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems) in this area consists of the Party Secretary of the Township Party Committee, Luo Xianliang, Mayor Wu Fanglin and Chen Liang, Zhong Lihua, Chu Lichun, Li Guoqi, Li Runde, Jia Chengshu and Xiao Jikai. Li Runde was solely responsible for arresting 7 practitioners.

During his arrest in September 2001, practitioner Liu Yingsong was kicked and punched, which broke his collarbone on both sides. Even though he was lying on the floor unable to move, the staff of the 610 Office threw him into the air and let him fall to the floor. The on-lookers couldn't bear the sight. The brutality didn't stop there. Liu was moved to the commune's office and received continuous brutal beatings. A few days later, they tricked Liu's wife, Huang Yanxiu into going to the commune's office and without giving any reason beat her until she was black and blue all over. In addition, they put her in solitary confinement for two weeks.

When Zhou Guanghua, female, went to Beijing for the first time she was arrested and fined $1300 Yuan (approximately three months' salary for an average Chinese urban laborer). Her mother-in-law and husband were encouraged by the 610 Office staff to verbally and physically abuse her. Once her husband was about to strangle her with a rope. The 610 Office demanded that her mother-in-law and husband monitor Zhou at all times and to inform the 610 Office whenever a practitioner came to visit her. The 610 Office promised they would return the fined money if the family continued to monitor Zhou. Every time the staff of 610 Office lost money playing Mahjong, they would take it out on Zhou and beat her mercilessly. During the Spring Festival, Zhou was beaten into unconsciousness five times and was held in custody for two months.

Yin Xianming and Liu Jiyu were volunteer contact persons in Aoping Township. They have suffered numerous beatings for continuing to practice Falun Dafa. During all of the so-called sensitive dates, these practitioners were arrested, locked up, and beaten. During holidays, they were made to do cleaning work and other chores for the office. Even the wife of Yin Xianming, a non-practitioner, was not spared; she was also beaten and detained.
