Practitioner Sun Jianhua from Shulan City, Jilin Province Tortured to Death


(Clearwisdom.net) Sun Jianhua was a 34-year-old male practitioner. After July 20, 1999 [when the Chinese government began the campaign to suppress Falun Gong], he was arrested for appealing in Tiananmen Square. He was later detained in Shulan City Detention Center and illegally sentenced to forced labor camp. Mr. Sun was released in October 2001. After being released, he dove back into the current of Fa rectification. Along with other practitioners who were forced to leave home and go from place to place to avoid illegal arrest, he participated in constructing Dafa truth-clarifying materials.

According to Sun Jianhuaí s own account, in mid March this year, police in Shulan City surrounded him for seven days and nights, during which time he had no food, no water and no sleep. It was very cold during that time, and he only had very thin clothes. However, he still persisted in those seven difficult days. After the police withdrew, Sun almost collapsed. After Sun got rid of the police he met with another practitioner who arranged for getting him some food and rest. Sun told this fellow practitioner that we should at all times look at things from the perspective of the Fa, and we should never deviate from the Fa. He also recounted his prior persecution experiences. Two hours later, Sun Jianhua passed away on March 23, 2002.
