Practitioners in China Hold Experience Sharing Conference to Celebrate Falun Dafa's 10 Year Anniversary

May 13^th was the tenth anniversary since the introduction of the practice of Falun Dafa to the public by Teacher and was also World Falun Dafa Day. In celebration of this magnificent occasion, under the mist, in an open country field, we held an experience sharing conference on the early morning of May 13^th.

In the afternoon of May 12^th, fellow practitioners gradually arrived one by one. There was an elderly practitioner who lived more than 30 li away (Li is a Chinese unit of length, same as half kilometer), there was a young mother carrying an infant and there were other elderly practitioners carrying their grandchildren to the field together with many practitioners who lived more than a few hundred li away. Approximately 200 people attended the conference. Many practitioners knew each other from detention centers, custodial centers and forced labor camps and felt extremely close to each other when meeting again after their release. Many of the practitioners had met during their peaceful appeals in Beijing and while rectifying the Fa in jails. So many hardships have resulted in such a joyous occasion.

During the conference, candlelight lit up the sky and banners with "Zhen-Shan-Ren" [Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance], "Law Wheel Turns Forever, Buddha Fa Is Boundless", "Creating the Future, Saving Sentient Beings", "The Buddha light illuminates everywhere, Propriety and justice rectify and harmonize everything" were placed on surrounding trees. At midnight, the celebration began. Everyone sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all of the evil within the cosmos. Then we recited "Lunyu", Hongyin and sang songs and poems. There was Fa studying and experience sharing creating a solemn, compassionate and peaceful atmosphere.

The following are two examples of experience sharing:

Practitioner Chen: Once, a few female practitioners from our area placed a truth-clarifying poster on the county government notice board. The government official wanted to tear it down and put up his notice in its place. We sent forth righteous thoughts to forbid him from doing so and at the same time we told him that good will be rewarded with good and evil with evil. In the end, he told practitioners to move the truth-clarifying poster to the side and leave a place for him to put up his poster. Once, a county government official asked us who wrote Falun Dafa words outside a certain school. Practitioner Chao said, "I wrote it. If you want to arrest me, go ahead." As he was saying these words, he was writing, "Falun Dafa is good." The official could not do anything but walk away.

Practitioner Chao: When I was putting up banners one night, I met a village official. He ordered me to take down the banner and follow him to the village government office. I told him that putting up banners was a good thing and it could save a lot of people. I explained the details of the spread of Dafa, saving sentient beings, reincarnation, and the fact that good will be rewarded with good and evil with evil and that we must perform good deeds. Then he said, "You don't have to take down the banner. Do you have any information about Falun Dafa? I want to read it." I gave him the materials that I had brought with me and he was extremely happy. I felt that another life had been saved.

At 5am, the conference ended. As we left the site, the darkness was illuminated by the candlelight and dawn was approaching.
