Dafa Practitioner and Chongqing Resident Tang Yi Suffers Brutal Torture in the Xishanping Labor Camp

[Note: Chongqing, also called "Double Happiness City," is a hilly, walled metropolis. It is one of the oldest cities located in China's most populated area, Sichuan province. The city is famous for its Dazu grottos. Industries here produce a huge variety of goods, but because of a combination of persistent fog and smog, it also has some of the worst air pollution in China. This is where the notorious forced labor camp, Xishanping, is located.]

The vice superintendent of Xishanping Forced Labor Camp in BeiPei district, Chongqing City is Mr. Long. He has schemed and participated directly in persecuting Dafa practitioners at the Education Division (No. 7 Division).

Tang Yi, a male Dafa practitioner around 40 years old who has a Master's degree, was a bridge engineer in the Chongqing Railroad Bureau. Not willing to meet the demands of the evil, Tang Yi and other Dafa practitioners refused to wear the labor camp uniform, to report numbers, to crouch, or to participate in the walking punishment. Tian Xin, the head of the Educational Department, instructor Chen Zebin, the First Squadron Leader Tian Xiaohai, Squad leader Li Zongquan incited drug addicts Chen Shengyu and Qin Gongwen to torture those Dafa practitioners viciously. That night, a group of labor camp guards beat Tang Yi and Liu Gibin. During the beating, they broke 2 belts and one wooden stool while hitting the Dafa practitioners. After relentless, savage torture and intimidation, the practitioners would still not surrender to the evil. The guards became infuriated. In their rage, they transferred Tang Yi to another place and beat him continuously without restraint. After incessant, inhumane torture, Tang Yi was forced to write "three letters" (A repentance letter, a letter of renouncement, and a letter of condemnation of Falun Gong.). When Tang Yi regained a clear head, he felt deep regret for writing the "three letters." Later, authorities in the Xishanping Labor Camp asked him to condemn Falun Gong on public television. For firmly refusing to do so, Tang Yi suffered cruel torture once again. After a period of time, he was sent to Chongqing BeiPei People's Hospital. He escaped the hospital with righteous thoughts, but after a few days he was arrested again in Chongqing. Currently, Tang Yi is being detained at a guardhouse and is suffering ruthless torture in the Xishanping Labor Camp, Training and Rectification Team (No. 11 division).
