As mayor of Fairfield City I am writing to you to congratulate you on your activities organized to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day 2002.

Fairfield City is one of the most multicultural communities within Australia. Our residents come from more than 130 different countries. We are truly proud of our City as our residents live together in harmony, are tolerant of each other's culture and faith and celebrate each other's diversity.

I truly believe that it is the basic human right of individuals to practice their faith free from persecution and we are lucky that we live in a country where this is possible.

I wholeheartedly support the concept of Truth, Compassion and Forbearance and the protection of the basic human rights of all people.
