Mother Kidnapped by Police in Liaoning Province, Twelve Year-old Daughter Nowhere to be Found
By a Mainland China Dafa Practitioner
(Clearwisdom.net) Recently in Haicheng city, Liaoning province, a 12 year-old
girl named Yang Yang disappeared after her mother was kidnapped by the police. In a massive dragnet operation between March and April 2002, Haicheng City
police searched every household in the city for Falun Gong practitioners,
forcing many practitioners to become homeless. A 12-year-old practitioner Yang Yang had been living with her mother since
her parents divorced early in her childhood. Even though Yang Yang is very
young, her steadfastness and understanding of Dafa is really admirable. The last
time the mother and daughter were together was when they were distributing
truth-clarifying materials. They were observed and reported on. Yang Yang's
mother was detained but Yang Yang escaped with the help of some kind-hearted
people. Yang Yang became homeless. She was so worried about her mother being
tortured in jail. Her relatives put together some money to have her mother
released from detention, but within 40 minutes of her release, another group of
police officers came and took her away again. This time they left no trail. Not
only has the mother disappeared but Yang Yang as well. It has been said that Haicheng policemen torture Dafa practitioners very
severely; policemen follow practitioners and keep them under close surveillance.
Around April 19th, twelve Haicheng Dafa practitioners who lived
outside Haicheng were kidnapped. At present, the whereabouts of these detained
practitioners are unknown. We are here hoping that righteous people both at home and abroad can offer
their help.
