The Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners in Chongqing City

(Clearwisdom.net) Yang Dayu, a 69-year-old retired doctor from Chongqing Chang'an 2^nd Factory was kidnapped on May 8, 2001 from the Bijing Park in Yubei District, Chongqing City. She was sentenced to three years of imprisonment with four years reprieve. Her monthly pension for living expenses was reduced to only 169 Yuan (400-500 Yuan is the average monthly income in urban China). She is still resolute in practicing Falun Dafa.

Wang Zhenxian, a 65-year-old retired senior engineer of Chongqing Tianyuan Factory, was also kidnapped on May 8, 2001 from Bijing Park. He was sentenced to three years of imprisonment with three years reprieve. His monthly pension for living expenses was also reduced to 169 Yuan. He remains resolute in cultivating Falun Dafa.

Zhang Yougao is a 64-year-old senior engineer, professor and scientist of optical electronics. He was the project leader of one of the "Three Gorges Construction Projects." In June 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa, and policemen gave him electric shocks while he was in custody. He was tortured for several months in Baihelin Forced Labor Camp in Shapingba District, Chongqing City. He was again kidnapped and sentenced to forced labor for one year in Xishanping Forced Labor Camp. After he finished this term, his sentence was extended by six months for no reason. He was released at the beginning of this year. Zhang refused to go to any brainwashing classes and was resolute in cultivating Falun Dafa. He was kidnapped again on March 9^th, and the police ransacked his home. He is being held in the police substation of Chongqing University. Zhang Yougao is not a bit afraid of the evil he faces. On the contrary, he uses his righteous thoughts to deter the evil and compassionately clarifies the truth to the ignorant policemen who have been deceived by the government's lies and committed crimes against Dafa practitioners.

Li Chunyuan, a 53-year-old doctor from Duzhou Town, Changshou County, Chongqing City, went to Beijing in 1999 to appeal for Falun Dafa. He was kidnapped and sentenced to two years of forced labor at Chongqing Xishanping Forced Labor Camp, where he suffered from torture, including being tied up and electrically shocked. After he was released in November 2001, he continued to practice Falun Dafa and refused to write the "three statements." (renouncing Falun Dafa) He was kidnapped by the Changshou County Police Department for brainwashing at Banbian Street of Shapingba District, Chongqing City. The brainwashing class is actually a private jail. The corrupt authorities beat and curse practitioners routinely. They use torture and even more severe techniques than that in the labor camps. His diamond-like, determined heart for cultivating Falun Dafa frightened the evil beings. This year, he was taken from the brainwashing class to Changshou County Police Department for inhuman persecution, after which the police ransacked his home again. Li Chunyuan remains illegally detained today.

Guo Zhongyi, 36, is a worker in Chang'an First Factory in Chongqing City who often clarifies the truth to the people of Chongqing. On February 8, 2002, he was kidnapped by police and illegally detained in the Jiangbei District Forced Labor Camp of Chongqing City. During the detention, the police beat Guo brutally, causing severe injuries. However, all of this could not change Falun Dafa practitioners' strong righteous thoughts and their compassionate heart to save sentient beings.
