Falun Gong Popular at Large Book Exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland (Photos)

From May 1^st - 5th 2002, Switzerland held it's annual Book Exhibition at the Palexbo Exhibition Center in Geneva; the largest of it's kind here with over 100,000 visitors. This was a great opportunity for us to promote Falun Dafa.

As in the previous two years, Swiss practitioners rented a booth to display Falun Dafa books in different languages and pictures. Visitors were also attracted to the practitioners demonstrating the exercises continuously from morning to evening. This became a unique attraction of the book exhibition. After clarifying the truth to the public for over two years, now almost all audiences know about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. When people walked by our booth, they often spoke out immediately, "Oh! This is Falun Gong!" People wanted to know more about Falun Gong, so many of them stopped to talk to the practitioners. The publishers said that both books, Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong, in French showed a rapid and marked increase in sales.

Different from previous years was the fact that more people visited the Falun Dafa booth and came to learn exercises. Shortly after the exhibition started, some practitioners were doing the sitting meditation. Two young girls came and asked if they could learn so the practitioners taught them the exercises on the spot. In the afternoon, they came back with a group of young friends to learn the exercises. When they were leaving, they told the practitioners that they would come again on Sunday if possible to review the movements.

Many teachers led their students to the exhibition. The graceful and beautiful movements of the demonstration and the peaceful music attracted many of them. They wanted to learn the exercises immediately. Most of them could sit in full lotus position. Some children felt energy moving between their palms while holding the hands in the various positions during the sitting meditation; some of them soon entered tranquility for a long time. Some children left and came back again to do the exercises again because they felt very good while doing meditation.

This year we prepared many badges with "Falun Dafa" and "Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance." Almost all the children who came by received one. Some of them asked for more badges for their friends.

When they saw the children learning so seriously, the practitioners who were teaching the exercises were moved to tears. The seeds of "Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance" and Falun Dafa have been planted in the children's hearts. Some teachers deliberately found our booth to tell us that they planned to talk to the principals to invite the practitioners to teach Falun Gong in their schools.
