Practitioners Are Risking Their Lives to Clarify the Truth about Falun Gong in Miyi County in the Panzhihua Municipality, Sichuan Province

There are many people learning Falun Dafa in Miyi County in the Panzhihua Municipality and at one time, the number reached 5000 to 6000. There are about 30 practitioners (now) illegally sentenced to jail terms in Miyi County with the longest terms being of 10 years. Currently there are still many Falun Gong practitioners in jail there. Xiang Jinfa, director of Political and Security Section of Miyi County Jail House, is extremely cruel towards practitioners; but many agents of the jailhouse know the truth about Falun Gong.

A while ago, some practitioners were arrested when they were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. Vicious agents would interrogate practitioners by force. Some practitioners were beaten, some were being hung up for days, in some cases, for even 7 or 8 days, among whom, Hu Xingyu, female, 70 years old, is one. In order to pressure her to talk, prison guards poured water on her and until she was soaked all over during the cold winter days while setting up a fan to blow cold air on her at the same time.

The longest sentence was dealt to Liao Yuanfu, Falun Gong practitioner with Farming Group #4, Shuitang Village of Panlian Township. He was sentenced to 10 years only because he clarified the truth about Falun Gong. Generally, practitioners were sentenced from 3 to 10 years. More than 10 practitioners were illegally detained in labor camps.

The most serious loss was in one time, government agents ferreted out our truth clarifying materials center, costing us a few dozen thousand Yuan RMB; 7 practitioners were arrested, amongst whom, 3 practitioners were illegally detained in labour camps that included Wong Yachao, a teacher in Tongde High School, who had been detained for 2 years before, this time for 2 years again. The rest of them are still in the jailhouse. All the 7 had been illegally detained in labour camps before. Due to the evil's cruel persecution and brainwashing, the 7 practitioners were duped into writing "letters of guarantee" against their will; but they recanted right after they came out of jail and knew what was going on. They were even more diligent in practicing Falun Dafa afterwards.

Even under such tremendous difficulties, we are able to do well in clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. There are truth clarifying flyers all over. The general situation of Fa-rectification and promoting Falun Dafa here are good.
