TOWN OF MIDDLETOWN
RHODE ISLAND
WHEREAS: Falun Dafa is a practice based on an ancient philosophy, originating
in prehistoric China, and
WHEREAS: Since its introduction in 1992 to the general public by its founder,
the practice has gained millions of followers in 30 countries, and
WHEREAS: Falun Dafa, also referred to as "Science of Life", in a
way of healing those that practice it through a system of exercises consisting
of standing postures, stretching and sitting in meditation, to the teaching of
living by truthfulness, kindness and tolerance, and
WHEREAS: The benefits for those who practice Falun Dafa are great, providing
stress relief, improving health and the inner self, deeply transforming the mind
and body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED: The Town Council of the Town of Middletown hereby proclaims April
22-April 29, 2001 as
FALUN DAFA WEEK
In the Town and wishes this organization continued success.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the
Town of Middletown to be affixed this 16th Day of April A.D. 2001.
