Puzzled by Media Propaganda, the Vice Principal of a School Run by the Party Learns the Truth By Studying the Teachings of Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) The vice principal of a local school run by the ruling party in China has been a member of the Party and leader for several decades. However, after careful deliberation and systematically studying all of the Falun Gong books for over a year, he has finally chosen to practice Falun Gong.

Since the persecution against Falun Gong began on July 20,1999, the media has been slandering the founder of Falun Gong as well as the Falun Gong practitioners. Incidents like 'self-immolation' and 'killing family members' were reported, but instead of turning him against Falun Gong, all these claims raised many questions in his mind.

His first question was: Most Falun Gong practitioners he knows are very kind and warm-hearted. During the past seven years, he has witnessed the improvement of their health. He knows a cancer patient who was healed without taking any medication. He has witnessed the immense power of Falun Gong. The "1400 cases of death caused by refusal of medication" as accused by the Jiang's regime is contrary to what he saw. Why is this is?

His second question was: If the final consummation of a practitioner were achieved through 'self immolation' or 'killing family members' as the media propagates, who would want to practice? Are the practitioners all foolish or have they all gone insane? How can one explain the phenomenon of nearly 100 million people starting to practice Falun Gong in just seven years? What is the mysterious power that has drawn so many people to Falun Gong?

His third question was: Since July 20, 1999, Falun Gong practitioners, either individually or in a group, have kept going to Beijing to peacefully appeal for Falun Gong and their Teacher. In doing so, they have had fines imposed on them, been sentenced to jail, sent to forced labor camps and mental hospitals, forcefully brainwashed, and even tortured to death. And yet they keep going! Why don't they simply immolate themselves to reach consummation? Also, why did those foreign practitioners come to Tiananmen Square? What was this all about? What is this group of people like? What is puzzling about Falun Gong is that practitioners do not have offices or temples. Under such harsh circumstances when the government has tried every means to make them quit practicing and sign statements of guarantee to denounce their beliefs, Falun Gong practitioners never yield to pressure. In fact, they would rather die than give up their faith. What is the immense power behind their choice?

Some of the practitioners have been fired, forced to quit their jobs or have to leave their home to avoid being arrested, yet they voluntarily keep clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa to people through putting up banners, and handing out truth clarification flyers and CDs. What is the force that glues them together and makes them so strong as a group? What they do is truly amazing!

His fourth question was: The different levels of the government have continuously organized and conducted brainwashing classes in their attempt to transform Falun Gong practitioners. If Falun Gong practitioners are not 'transformed,' even their families or working units will be implicated. Why does the government spend so much effort on transforming a group of peaceful, kind and unarmed people? Shouldn't these people have the basic right of belief ?

His fifth question was: Falun Gong practitioners are non-violent and have never violated any laws, but because of their belief, their children are treated unjustly. They are denied promotion; they can't join the army or go to school. In the schools, students are tested in their exams about Falun Gong. Students will be denied opportunities in school if they admit that one of their relatives practices Falun Gong. Is this fair? Is it a sin to be a good person? Isn't it a good thing that there are so many good people in society? How strange the world has become. It is unbelievable!

From the experience of the Cultural Revolution, people realize very clearly that what the government defines as right may not be right. The past forty-years has proved that people have been living in a crazy world where, overnight, a hero could become a demon, white become black, and good become evil. People really should not blindly follow orders from the upper level. Falun Gong is a worldwide phenomenon. People have the right to know about the truth.

He decided to find answers to these questions. From February 2001 to April 2002, for a period of 14 months, he thoroughly read the book Zhuan Falun [The main text of Falun Gong] as well as other lectures and articles by Teacher Li. The more he read the books, the more he enjoyed reading them.

He was a patient with serious hypertension and had been taking medication for many years. After the Chinese New Year in 2002, he was so involved in reading Teacher Li's books that he forgot to take his medication. Interestingly, he didn't

feel any discomfort. One day in April 2002, a doctor happened to ask him about his health, which reminded him that he ought to check his blood pressure. When he checked it, to his amazement, it was at a normal 80-130 range. He could not believe how incredible and powerful Falun Gong is! He had benefited from merely reading the books! Unable to refrain his excitement, he went to his friend who is a practitioner and asked him to teach him the Falun Gong exercises.

Now, he has a complete understanding of what Falun Gong and its practitioners really are.
