On Saturday, July 13, 2002, Falun Dafa practitioners in New York City continued to send forth righteous thoughts in front of the Chinese Consulate. Quite a number of tourists passed by and stopped to ask what Falun Gong is as well as the persecution currently happening in China.
On Sunday, July 14, 2002, practitioners went to the Manhattan Chinatown to promote Dafa. Practitioners come here to clarify the truth every week. We handed out the truth-clarifying flyers, demonstrated Falun Gong exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts once every half an hour. In only a few hours, we could often distribute two big boxes of Dafa introductory materials. The "Confucius Plaza" is located at an intersection in the Chinatown. Many of Chinese people pass by here every day. Some have already heard about Falun Gong. Many people were happy to accept Dafa materials. Some are only curious about Dafa, which also opens a good opportunity for us to chat with them and clarify the truth to them. Although some other people unfortunately seemed unwilling to take the material and some even opposed Falun Gong, they still stopped to watch our elegant exercise demonstration. Even a few glimpses allow them to get a rough idea about Falun Gong.
