Let Go of Human Notions and Keep Up With Teacher's Fa-Rectification Process

Below are some of my understandings to share with everybody.

1. Some lessons I learned from sending forth righteous thoughts.

Recently, a local TV station planned to broadcast a program that defamed Dafa. After find out about this, I went to a place close to the TV station to send forth righteous thoughts together with fellow practitioners. Later, I went to ask people if the TV station had broadcast it, and was told that it had not. I then waited until evening to see the re-aired TV program, and I saw the videotape aired. At this time, I was somewhat puzzled and asked myself why the outcome of our sending forth righteous thoughts would be like this. Subsequently upon opening "Touring North America to Teach the Fa," and reading it calmly I found I had the following omissions:

1. I did not completely oppose arrangements made by the old forces.
2. Asking others and watching TV myself to confirm the outcome was itself a manifestation of my lack of righteous faith in the effect of sending forth righteous thoughts.
3. After returning home, I did not continue sending forth righteous thoughts to block its re-airing. Since I did not completely oppose the old forces' arrangements, they went further and published these lies in a local newspaper. How many people ended up being poisoned? Was I not responsible for this situation too? I had been studying the Fa every day--why couldn't I do well when these things came up? In Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston, Teacher said, "There are a lot of things you still aren't able to do well as Dafa disciples, though, and I can tell you that this is in fact because you've neglected Fa-study." "You're always thinking about Fa-rectification things and aren't able to quiet your mind when you study the Fa. Then you're actually studying in vain. If you can't study the Fa rationally and clearheadedly, you're studying in vain, and you're wasting your time. So you have to recognize this." If I am not able to cherish this period of time and take every opportunity to eliminate evil, clarify the truth, and do well in everything that a Dafa disciple is supposed to do, am I still qualified to be called one of the "Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples"?

Once when I was sending forth righteous thoughts, there suddenly came some interference from noise. I thus sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate it, but it did not work. I then looked within, recalling Teacher's words: "If that attachment is relinquished, that material itself does not have any effect. What really interferes with a person is the attachment." (Zhuan Falun, Lecture 7, "The Issue of Eating Meat") I realized that, when things come up, I should be sending forth the purest righteous thoughts, instead of being affected by them. Thus, I thought, "I am doing this for Fa-rectification, and nothing can touch me." Then, I felt as if the tremendous energy I sent out had separated from the attachments and the sacredness was beyond description. Also, when there is interference in our bodies or minds, we must separate it from our true selves. I say to myself, "If you are a being in this cosmos, you'd better hurry and assimilate to Dafa; otherwise, you will be eliminated." Thus, I was able to become tranquil pretty quickly.

Another thing is that we must keep up with sending forth righteous thoughts and not miss any opportunity to do so. In "Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A.," Teacher said, "Let me tell you, all those who remain and that can persecute Dafa and Dafa disciples are due to our students themselves. Students who haven't taken sending forth righteous thoughts seriously: the evil in the dimensions that you are supposed to shoulder and be responsible for has not been eliminated. That's the cause." In "Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Fa Conference," Teacher said, "...if a cultivator can't eliminate it, Gods--including higher Gods--also need to take part in eliminating it." If each of us does well when sending forth righteous thoughts, there will be no place for the evil to hide; therefore, we should treasure each opportunity and completely eliminate evil in other dimensions as soon as possible.

3. When we are able to do well, we will receive understanding and support from family members.

One night, I went out to hang up truth clarification banners. By the next morning, however, one banner had fallen down to the ground. My husband saw it and picked it up. A vendor nearby saw this and asked him, "Do you practice Falun Gong? Aren't you afraid police will come and arrest you?" While holding a cigarette in his hand, my husband said, "See, do I look like a Falun Gong practitioner?" (Note: Falun Gong practitioners do not smoke.) Later, I asked him what he thought about this. He said, "I knew you put forth much effort making these banners, and it was a pity that it fell down to the ground." I was moved by his action. Under such vicious pressure, it was truly outstanding for an everyday person to do something like this. After years of cultivation, would I have dared to hang it up in public? Through further Fa-study, I realized that my attachment of fear and human notions impeded my steps during the Fa-rectification. I thus held Teacher's book, calmed down and read it. I felt as if I had entered the book. I was moved by Master's immense benevolence, and realized that there was no way for us to repay our great, compassionate Master. In "Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples," Master said, "If everything in history were not borne for you, it would be fundamentally impossible for you to do cultivation practice; if everything were not borne for sentient beings in the cosmos, they would disintegrate with the passing of history; if everything were not borne for the people of the world, they would not have the opportunity to still live in this world today." Without Teacher, could we sit here safely? When we do not do well, how much more does Teacher have to sacrifice and endure for us? Is there any excuse for my not stepping forward, for my not saving those sentient beings that were misled by the lies? As Dafa disciples in the Fa-rectification period, we can only truly save other beings with selfless sacrifice and enduring hardships.

Let us cherish this greatest and most marvelous opportunity that is unprecedented in the cosmos. We must do well with Fa-study, break through each action and thought arranged by the old forces, and completely dissolve into the Fa. Following Teacher's guidance, clarifying the truth, and saving sentiment beings, we will create the most splendid era!
