Accounts of Karmic Retribution
(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the
principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for
one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is
the characteristic of the universe,
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward
actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating,
torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another
way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due
karmic retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a
compassionateáreminder of this principle to those who would commit
wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely
"following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held
responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of
wrongdoing may they escape karmic retribution.
Chenzhou City's Suxian District Forestry Bureau Deputy Chief Li Xiaoyu
actively persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners. On May 18th, Li Xiaoyu, his elder
sister, his elder sister's husband, and his nephew were traveling to Guangzhou
to see a doctor. As they were passing under a multi-level crossing bridge, the
goods compartment of a freight vehicle on the bridge came loose, broke through
the barricade, and crashed down on Li's small vehicle. Li Xiaoyu, his elder
sister, and her husband died on the spot.
A woman from Jiangbei verbally abused Dafa and urged her younger sister to
give up her cultivation in Falun Dafa. As a result she received karmic
retribution. She tumbled on level ground and fractured a bone in her left hand.
When she realized that a moment before she had said bad things about Dafa, she
immediately repented her actions. Before long, she gently pressed the place
where the bone in her left hand had been fractured and found it no longer
broken.
