Taking a cab

One time, Uncle Hu went out for an errand by cab. He began to read the newspaper in the cab. The cab driver initiated the talk by asking him about his age. Uncle Hu replied, "I am 80 years old." The cab driver was surprised and said, "You are over 80 years old and you can still read a newspaper without wearing any glasses?" Then he started chatting with Uncle Hu on how he must take good care of himself. Uncle Hu started talking about his stories of practicing Falun Dafa, and he also mentioned what Falun Gong was all about. When he was ready to get out of the cab, the driver was grateful to him and said, "I had thought that what the media said was true, but now I understand that they were actually trying to fool us. Thank you very much!"

Eating breakfast

One time, I was eating my breakfast by a food stand, and I introduced Dafa to a man who was about 40 years old when I noticed that he didn't waste any food. I could see surprise in his eyes when I told him, "None of the media propaganda is true; don't listen to it. Whoever believes in it will do harm to him or herself. You will come to understand what Falun Gong is all about when you read the book." He nodded his head emphatically and said goodbye to me in a very polite manner.

Guiding the way

It was a little bit past 9 o'clock at night, and it was snowing heavily. I was helping a person from out of town who just got off the train and was ready to go to a working unit in this city. His relative lives in one of the buildings in this work unit. He asked several people how to get there. I happened to know the place, so I told him that I could take him there. He was very grateful to me, and he paid for my bus ticket when we got on the bus. I wanted to pay him for the ticket, but he didn't accept it, and just kept thanking me. After we got to his destination, I insisted on giving him 1 Yuan [Chinese currency] back, and said: " I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. I don't want anything in return for my help. Thanks for your thoughtfulness." He didn't say anything else, but stood there in a daze and watched me go back home in the snow.

Helping out

When I went to pay the electricity bill at the Power Bureau, I came across a 50-year-old man who was swearing non-stop because the Power Bureau overcharged him. I went over to help out with the situation. When I told him the truth about Falun Dafa, his face turned from cloudy to sunny and he said with a smile, "I understand! The rumors were fabricated and full of loopholes. Who would believe it? However..." Then he brought up to me a series of questions and I answered them one by one with the truth. When I was leaving, I said to him, "When you see your relatives..." I didn't get a chance to finish what I wanted to say before he stepped in, "Don't worry. I know what to tell them!"

"It was not bad this time!"

Senior citizen Mrs. Bing, who is 70 years old, was illegally detained by the police, and taken to a detention center for over 10 days. When she came out she said, "It was not bad this time!"

What happened was that she was detained with some prostitutes. There was a girl who got to know that Mrs. Bing was a Dafa practitioner. She always listened to Mrs. Bing talk about the principles of Dafa whenever she got a chance. Sometimes, she was moved to tears while she was listening. When they departed from each other, she said, "After I get out of here, this time, when I go home, I will be only a farmer looking after the field. I will never do this kind of immoral work again!"

Kaifeng beggar

I often run into some beggars and I normally give them some dimes. After July 20^th 1999, I always added, "Please remember, Falun Dafa is good" when I gave money to them.

A few days ago, when I met a 50-year-old beggar I told him: "Please remember, Falun Dafa is good!" He told me that he came from Kaifeng city, Henan province. People from Kaifeng were responsible for the Tiananmen staged immolation incident, which everyone in his hometown knew about. They also knew that the people who immolated themselves weren't Falun Gong practitioners. "They were absolutely not practitioners!" he repeated twice.
