Letter from Congressman David Bonior of Michigan to Washington DC Rally

Dear Friends:

You are to be congratulated on this latest undertaking on behalf of all of those people in China who suffer persecution at the hands of government authorities because of their practice of Falun Gong.

This great rally in our nation's capitol -- is a nationwide demonstration of our collective commitment to human rights and freedom for all people.

I commend you in your efforts in bringing together these people committed to ending persecution and wish you the best of luck as you seek to educate Congress and the people of the United States about the plight of the Falun Gong.

Finally, I join with many of my fellow members of Congress in urging President Bush to raise the issue of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners with the Chinese government.

Once again, congratulations on such a worthwhile endeavor.
