Austria: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Candlelight Vigil to Protest Persecution and Clarify the Truth (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Since August 5, 2002, more and more practitioners in Austria have been actively joining a series of activities related to Hong Kong's political prosecution and to clarify the truth to the Hong Kong people as well as the people around the world.

The Austrian Falun Dafa Association expressed deep concern at the Hong Kong police's false accusations. We also reported to the Swiss Embassy in Austria about the situation and expressed our concerns. The Swiss embassy had gained some better understanding of the incident even before we contacted them. Apparently practitioners in other countries had made significant efforts to clarify the truth.

On the evening of August 8, practitioners in Vienna held a candlelight vigil outside the Chinese Embassy in Austria to call for an end to the political prosecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Hong Kong. There are usually few people other than embassy employees in the streets close to the Chinese embassy, but that night some Hong Kong visitors happened to pass through that area. The coincidence allowed them to learn the truth of the Jiang regime's extension of the persecution to Hong Kong.
