Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples use all opportunities to clarify the truth, expose the evil and save sentient beings. This is our solemn responsibility. The things that we do during Fa-rectification directly eliminate the evil elements that exist in other dimensions and manipulate the bad people in this world. Meanwhile, our efforts have afforded people opportunities to get to know the truth and to choose their own future destinies. Then how should we use this opportunity to do better in clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings when the Chinese dictator and human rights violator comes to the United States? Spreading rumors, slander, and lies to influence western society to keep silent on his murderous crimes will certainly be on his agenda.

We conducted some discussions based on the Fa principles that we currently understand in regards to the present situation.

1. Why should we take it as an opportunity to clarify the truth?
2. Who are the potential recipients of the truth-clarification?
3. What is the truth that we need to clarify?
4. How do we clarify the truth?

Cruelly persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners and striking against Truth, Compassion and Tolerance has forever etched Jiang into the annals of history as a disgraceful figure.

Teacher's boundless benevolence is evident in recreating the universe and the future for human beings. His saving millions of Dafa particles out of the filth and darkness and entrusting us with the mission of saving sentient beings is our great fortune. During the past few years of the great Fa rectification period, clarifying the true facts behind the persecution of practitioners to the people in other countries, different governments and the American people has been our duty. We are gaining more support and sympathy daily. Many people have gone from knowing only a little about Falun Dafa to practicing Falun Dafa. Many governments are praising Falun Dafa and its huge contributions to the society.

However, dictator Jiang went all out to do harm to many countries and their people. He pressured other countries to stop Falun Dafa practitioners from voicing their concerns. He even pressured them to illegally detain Falun Dafa practitioners and deny them entry into their countries. Recently, we learned that he will be visiting the United States in October. This is a great opportunity for all of the practitioners in the United States to clarify the truth.

Thus, we hereby call upon all practitioners to start comprehensive truth-clarification efforts in America starting today to let the American people know that Jiang Zemin is a tyrant and is guilty of gross human rights violations. Through our efforts, we will let them know Jiang's hypocritical and violent nature, the fact that he has been engaged in state terrorism and the seriousness of his launching the persecution of Falun Gong out of self-interest. Then people will oppose the evil persecution themselves.

1. Why should we take it as an opportunity to start comprehensive and systematic truth-clarifying efforts?

During the past three years, we have been clarifying the truth. However, did we clarify the truth comprehensively? Did the American people, non-government organizations (NGOs), and different levels of government truly learn all the facts about Falun Gong? Practitioners have done a lot of work to help many people know the truth. However, there are still many people who haven't heard of Falun Dafa. Some media and non-government organizations just sympathized with us at a very low level. Some people were reluctant to support us since they were afraid they would "sacrifice" their own economic interests while doing so. All these responses have shown us that there are still many aspects to cover while clarifying the truth. The contents and the depth of truth-clarification have evolved as the Fa-rectification has moved forward. We need to systematically and comprehensively clarify the truth.

Jiang is coming to America this October. It is a chance to expose Jiang, who usually stays hidden away in China. People will clearly see his true face close up, perceive his evil nature, and aid in stopping his criminal actions while we enjoy the advantage of being on favorable terrain.

Jiang recently finished a series of trips to Germany, countries around the Baltic Sea, and Iceland. He pressured the governments of those countries and even forced them to join in the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. If we have thoroughly clarified the truth to the places that he is going to visit and helped people to see the evil head's ugly nature before he arrives, then he will be left without a market to peddle his lies and no place to stay. The evil will be extinguished when all the people and all the governments around the world have stood up to oppose the evil persecution. This is an opportunity and a task for the practitioners in America. By the time he arrives in America we should have truly cherished this time, systematically clarified the truth and helped the American people to take action and position themselves correctly.

What should the result of our efforts be this time?

Teacher said in the article "Rationality,"

"Your current performance as Dafa disciples is magnificent. All of this is your goodness (shan) made manifest, and it is what evil fears most, as those who attack goodness are bound to be evil. The actions they are now adopting in the persecution of Dafa and its students are extremely evil and shameful, and they fear these will be exposed. You must let the world's people know about their evilness--this is saving people, as well. While eliminating the evil, you consummate yourselves and strengthen the Fa's manifestation in the world. Did you know that everything you are currently doing has already established the most magnificent and eternal mighty virtue for Dafa and Dafa cultivators? When this page of history is turned, the people who remain will see your magnificence, and the future Gods will forever remember this magnificent time in history. Validate the Fa with rationality, clarify the truth¹ with wisdom, spread the Fa and save people with mercy--this is establishing the mighty virtue of an Enlightened Being."

Our goal is to completely expose Jiang Zemin and to let the American people with kind hearts know his viciousness. We were discussing that we all need to work very hard in clarifying the truth. We must all have the willingness to go the extra mile for the sake of exposing the evil.

Pay special attention to those people who are deceived by the lies or are shortsighted. Thoroughly clarify the truth in America. Cover all walks of life in society when clarifying the truth so that the evil head's criminal actions are completely exposed and nothing remains hidden.

Uniting all the practitioners in America for exposing Jiang's nature to the people of the United States was discussed. This includes breaking through the isolation and separation between different areas that the evil forces are desperately trying to create as well as uniting different truth clarifying activities into a single enterprise. This is striving forward together as one body, and improving our individual cultivation. When we aren't working together there will be indications in the surface dimension. We will find ourselves making no progress, responding slowly and without focus, holding different opinions and failing to achieve expected results. Studying the Fa well, keeping righteous thoughts and manifesting righteous actions will make us one Fa rectification body and afford us success.

2. To whom should we clarify the truth?

This should be a full-scale truth-clarification effort around the United States. So all the American people, non-government organizations and different levels of government offices are the potential recipients of truth-clarification. Academic circles, the judiciary system, religious organizations, student organizations, workers, farmers, ordinary people, big corporations, business circles, media, United Nations' offices in America and other organizations' branches in the United States are also potential recipients of truth clarification.

In the past, when we clarified the truth from the perspective of human rights, we often encountered organizations that did not have a human rights focus. Thus, they lost the opportunity to know the truth. Actually, Jiang's persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners has threatened the freedom of belief of all kind-hearted people.

Everyone has a responsibility to uphold justice for the righteous and to condemn the actions of misguided people in this ultimate fight between the virtuous and the wicked. This is the essence of a human being's morality. Therefore, we consider all of the American people and all organizations as the audience of our truth-clarification efforts. We should cover every place, every person and every organization, especially those that we haven't reached out to in the past.

Clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings requires a pure heart cultivated from Falun Dafa. We need to consider others before ourselves and to be selfless for the sake of all sentient beings. In our previous truth-clarifying efforts we emphasized skills, professional styles, and flexibility in the everyday people's sense. However, we put aside the most effective way of clarifying the truth: Clarifying the truth with a pure heart. We can best help people to know the truth by refraining from pursuing any results.

Let's change some of our past behaviors. For example, we were so attached to getting signatures from people to support us that we forgot to clarify the truth to them in a comprehensive way. We didn't talk to people unless we needed help from them. We didn't keep in mind that we were saving all sentient beings.

Let us break through the past levels in clarifying the truth by creating a better cultivation environment where all the practitioners can be at the forefront of directly clarifying the truth to the American people. We can rid ourselves of all everyday people's notions. Whether we can achieve this state depends on practitioners' pure hearts. Based on our previous experiences and lessons from spreading the Fa, we know that we can do a lot of things using the rationality, wisdom, and benevolence that Dafa gave us. There are no phenomena or entities that are unrelated to the Fa. We can use the existing structure of society as our tools and resources to clarify the truth. Here we want to share our ideas. Hopefully, fellow practitioners can come up with even better suggestions and more of them. We invite more fellow practitioners to join the discussion.

-- Clarify the truth to the local residents and the city and state-level governments through city council meetings. We can ask them for help and advice. We can hold parades, assemblies and other activities.

-- Contact students' organizations to clarify the truth to them. They are enthusiastic and they have the courage and determination to act on truth.

-- Contact United Nation Human Rights organizations or other non-government organizations. We can help people who are interested in human rights to learn the truth by giving speeches, holding conferences or exhibitions or other activities.

-- Human Rights organizations and unions have many members. We can rapidly spread the truth to their members through their networks. We can utilize their Internet presence to get truth-clarification materials to society.

-- Using the facts of Jiang Zemin's persecution of Falun Gong, we can analyze the dangers that Jiang Zemin has brought to China and to the Chinese people. Clarify the truth at a higher level to help the academic community and the government advisors know all of the facts. Then they would be able to provide guidance to lead society in making correct decisions.

-- Clarify the truth to our representatives in a comprehensive manor. Building upon their current understandings of Falun Dafa, we need to help them more effectively stop the Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong in China. Let their local constituents know their representative's correct attitude toward Falun Gong and how well they have been represented.

-- We can initiate large-scale postcard mailings, email sending and letter sending to allow more Americans the opportunity to uphold justice.

-- Clarify the truth to all media including TV program hosts/hostesses. We can ask them to help us clarify the truth. Media reports can represent, influence and strengthen public opinion. Put more efforts into clarifying the truth this way.

-- Ask the public figures to clarify the truth to people. They can share their understandings of Falun Dafa to help people know the truth of the persecution.

-- Help the professionals who have business relationships with China to understand that upholding justice and supporting the righteous are essential basics. Thus, while doing business with China they will remember the suffering of the Chinese people so that they will not forsake human rights principles and morality. Therefore, we can break the illusion of the economic threats of the Jiang regime.

-- Ask the President of the United States to urge the Jiang regime to respect the freedom of belief, to protect basic human rights, to stop the unjustified persecution and to let kind-hearted people live freely and choose what they want to believe in.

We encourage all practitioners to take vigorous action and aid our activities at different stages from development to implementation. Communicate more with everyday people; hold more activities and talk to people from all walks of life. To comprehensively clarify the truth, we need to utilize the energy that everyday people can't compete with. Fellow practitioners, during the great Fa rectification period, let's take this historic opportunity to persistently, purely, seriously, systematically, and comprehensively clarify the truth to the American people. Let's assist Teacher in rectifying the Fa. Through our clarifying the truth, let's establish an even better environment for the American people who have given us such great support. They helped us when we were in the greatest need and should be saved.
