Practitioner Fu Xiaoyun from Wuhan City Dies from Brutal Torture in Brainwashing Class

Fu Xiaoyun, female, was over 50 years of age. She was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Wuhan City. In June 2002, Fu Xiaoyun was abducted and forced to attend the Jianghan brainwashing class, where she began a hunger strike in protest. However, brainwashing class officials continued to torture her until she was at her last breath. Realizing that she was going to die, they hastily sent her home. Fu Xiaoyun passed away on August 6, 2002.

Fu Xiaoyun had been unjustly detained by the authorities many times before her death. Her forced captivity included a brainwashing class, a detention center and even a mental hospital. In the detention center, she launched a hunger strike in protest. Because of this, she was hung up and beaten for 47 days and then sent to a forced labor camp. She was released in June of 2002. After she returned home, she was again abducted and held in the brainwashing class until shortly before she died.

The brainwashing class of Jianghan District brutally tortured the Dafa practitioners. This included forcing the practitioners to stand in the baking sun for long periods of time, denying them sleep and forcing them to stay in a squatting position. In addition, the practitioners were not allowed to read Falun Gong books or perform the exercises, were inundated with vicious lies in order to brainwash them and were pressured to write the so-called "five statements". [Note: These are documents designed to prove that detained Falun Gong practitioners were truly brainwashed. This is often done according to the requirements of the "610 Office" which is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.]

Some collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] in Wuhan City, led by Li Youli from the Jianghan District and Gong Lianghan from the Jiangan District, formed a so-called "transformation team." They collaborated with the "610 Office" of Wuhan City to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. Under the Jiang regime's campaign of persecution, these collaborators who used to practice "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance", the principle of the universe, have been "reformed" into criminals who have completely lost their human decency.
