Dear Mr. Wu,

PERSECUTED MINORITIES

We write to express our concern about the ongoing persecution being inflicted on ethnic, religious and lifestyle groups in China.

We are troubled to learn that Tibetans, Urghurs, Falun Dafa practitioners, Christians and others, are suffering for their beliefs, or cultural practices.

These attacks violate China's constitution as well as the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Peace, non-violence, tolerance and understanding are core values of Green Parties worldwide.

We believe that all people, no matter what their ethnic, religious or cultural background and no matter how they choose to live their lives, should be allowed to go about their business in peace as long as they operate within the law and do not threaten society.

Consequently we call on your Government to halt unprovoked harassment and attacks against these groups.
