Ankang Hospital in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province Brutally Persecutes Dafa practitioners

August 28, 2002

(Clearwisdom.net) According to one Dafa practitioner who was released from the Ankang Hospital after staging a hunger strike: Ankang Hospital is the former Shenyang Drug-Rehabilitation Center, located at Sitaizi in northern Shenyang. The director is very vicious and he orders to force-feed Dafa practitioners who hold hunger strikes as well as block the news to the outside world.

Because this practitioner went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention, she was transferred from the detention center to Ankong Hospital, where she met 5 other practitioners who were also sent there because they went on hunger strikes. Yao Bin, a 32-year-old woman from Tiexi City, had been on a hunger strike since May 24. Gao Bo, a young lady in her 20s, had also been hunger striking for many days. Yao Xiuxiang, who was already severely wounded in her waist, was still being beaten on the waist by the police. Zhu Xiuzhen from Heping District was arrested in January 2002. She had very serious asthma, and had been relying on oxygenated air for a long time. However, the police still wouldn't release her.

According to this practitioner, at the detention center usually 3 practitioners were kept in a small cell.
