(Clearwisdom.net) On August 28, 2002, the suburban court of Hefei City, Anhui Province put seven Falun Dafa practitioners on trial: Li Chuanfeng (Postdoctoral), Li Guofeng (Master), Zhao Gang (Doctor) and Xue Tingxiao (Doctor) of the Chinese Science and Technology University, Li Yang from Xinjiang, Zhang Jin of the Provincial Light Industry Design Institute, and Zuo Qixiang of the Provincial Department of Civil Administration. The illegal trial began at 8:30 am and ended at 7:30 pm - lasting for more than 9 hours.

Several days before the trial, most practitioners in the Hefei area started sending forth righteous thoughts in groups. Some practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts close to the courthouse. On the day before the trial several Dafa practitioners went to the suburban courthouse, observed the surroundings and prepared truth clarification materials.

At about 7:30 the next morning Dafa practitioners, families of the practitioners, secret agents of the Public Security Bureau, representatives of the 610 Office and those from the Public Security Bureau, the Procuratorial Bureau and the court were present both inside and outside the courthouse. Among the officials were some who had persecuted Dafa practitioners many times. Around 8:15 two police cars arrived. Instantly the policemen formed a human shield. Because the practitioners were well prepared they still broke through this feable blockade and pressed their hands together in front of their chests in a gesture of respectful greeting and encouragement to the practitioners being escorted into the court. For this trial, each family had three tickets to get into the courtroom. Without a ticket no one was allowed to enter. Two Dafa practitioners asked the police why the trial was said to be open but wasn't actually open. The police said repeatedly that it was the order from above. Some practitioners managed to enter the courthouse without tickets by sending forth righteous thoughts.

Less than one hour after the trial started, the music Pudu and Jishi, played at a distance, could be heard inside the courtroom. The music caused a commotion throughout the courtroom and the wise practitioners still managed to finish playing the music. All of the many practitioners who were unable to get into the courtroom were sending forth righteous thoughts. In order to let the practitioners who were illegally detained know the Fa-rectification formulas and to encourage them, practitioners outside the courthouse shouted the Fa-rectification formulas. The police then used their mobile phones to call for backup. Not long after, a large group of police officers arrived and attempted to arrest the Falun Dafa practitioners. One female practitioner who was taking photographs outside the court was spotted by an officer. He snatched her camera and exposed the film. Then the practitioner was forcefully taken to the nearby Baohe Public Security Sub-bureau.

The seven Falun Dafa practitioners manifested their true realms during the illegal trial. Although Zuo Qixiang, Zhao Gang, Li Chuanfeng, Li Guofeng and Li Yang had been illegally held in custody for about a year, they never yielded to the persecution by the evil or the arrangements of the old forces. No matter how hard the evil tried to extort information by cruel torture or induce the practitioners to admit to wrongdoing, the police failed to shake the practitioner's righteous belief in Dafa. They never gave in or compromised with the evil. Every time the practitioners were interrogated the police came away empty handed.

During the trial, Dafa practitioner Zhang Jin spoke out sternly, with a sense of justice, to expose the persecution. He told the court that he was abducted by the First Division of the Hefei City Public Security Bureau to the New Century Hotel and then interrogated by officers Liang Wenming and Luo Jian, both from the First Division, for 14 days. During that time the policemen tried to extort information using cruel torture or tried to induce him to implicate other practitioners. Zhang Jin was subjected to various mental torments and at one point, verified what others had said when his consciousness was not clear. In the court he wisely used the legal system to totally repudiate the coerced evidence.

The First Division of the City Public Security Bureau also abducted Dafa practitioners Xue Tingziao and his wife to the New Century Hotel. The policemen tried either cruel torture or enticements to extort information for 7 days and nights. In the court the couple rejected the prosecutors' allegations.

The prosecutors had prepared a large pile of documents but hadn't expected that the evidence would be completely refuted by the Dafa practitioners. That left the prosecuting side totally unprepared. When the court reconvened in the afternoon they brought in new lawyers. However, during the trial, prosecutors found themselves always in a passive position because of the powerful field of righteous thoughts created by Dafa practitioners.

During the trial, Dafa practitioner Zuo Qixiang exposed the crimes committed by the Railway Public Security. He told the court that he was arrested by the Railway Public Security in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, and tortured for 12 days and nights. He told how his clothes were stripped off under the scorching summer sun to allow mosquitos to bite him and that a wolfhound was set up him to attack him as well. He lost consciousness several times during the torture and was revived by being splashed with water. Then he was interrogated and tortured again.

Dafa practitioner Li Guofeng firmly resisted the evils' persecution in the court nobly and righteously.

Dafa practitioner Zhao Gang went to Beijing to appeal to the government twice and was arrested both times. During the trial he corrected his lawyer's defence presentation. The kind-hearted female lawyer was unwilling to let Zhao Gang suffer any more torture so she stated on his behalf, "I will not practice Falun Gong." Adhering to the Fa principles, Zhao Gang corrected his lawyer's earlier statement and in his final remarks he said, "I have never said that I will not practice Falun Gong."

Xinjiang practitioner Li Yang was also abducted in August last year. Before that he had been illegally sentenced to "re-education" through labour for going to Beijing to appeal. After his release he went to Hefei to clarify the truth and was illegally arrested. He showed that he lost two teeth when he was tortured by the evils. However, whenever he tried to expose the persecution the judge cut his testimony short.

Dafa practitioner Li Chuanfeng was perhaps the calmest and most intelligent of everyone throughout the trial. He had been detained for a year, but no matter how severe the persecution was he had not wavered in his righteous belief, so the evil could not find any excuse to persecute him. Once, another practitioner wrote a statement admitting that he had read Zhuan Falun with Li Chuanfeng. However, when the prosecutor raised the issue in court, Li Chuanfeng answered calmly, "I have never joined any illegal organization."

During the trial, practitioners in Hefei as a whole had very strong righteous thoughts. We sent forth righteous thoughts in groups to eliminate the persecution imposed on Dafa practitioners by the evil. Before and after the court session the practitioners eliminated the evil in other dimensions and exposed the evil with reason and wisdom. For example, the practitioners went to the courthouse to survey the area, clarify the truth, and clear the field. During the court session the practitioners both inside and outside the court sent forth righteous thoughts as one body. They also played Dafa music and took photographs. Practitioners who appeared in court showed that their righteous belief in and righteous enlightenment to Dafa were indestructible. All these showed that Dafa practitioners were of one body.

Under the deterrence of the powerful righteous thoughts and righteous actions of the Dafa practitioners inside and outside the court, the trial wound up hastily. These seven Dafa practitioners' indestructible righteous adherence to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance stirred everyone deep in their hearts.

We strongly appeal to even more kind-hearted people to show concern for these practitioners and help them to gain freedom. We firmly believed that through this trial more and more people will truly get to know that Falun Dafa is cruelly persecuted in China and the cruelty is unprecedented. We hope more people will stand beside the self-evident truth and justice and strive to end this unjust case with all their hearts so as to lay a good foundation for their futures.
