Practitioners in Russia Clarify the Truth to Government Officials and Media to Counter Slanderous Rumors and Lies Spread by the Chinese Embassy

(Clearwisdom.net) For the past three years, some officials of the Jiang regime's embassy in Russia have been spreading rumors and slandering Falun Gong. They have threatened and tried to intimidate Falun Dafa practitioners. They have used underhanded methods to deceive and manipulate members of the police and the Russian government. For example, one diplomat from the Chinese Embassy actually tried to stop a Duma Human Rights Committee member from attending a press conference held by Falun Gong. The agents in the Embassy have no regard for Russian laws, and directly interfere by going to the scene of a Falun Gong activity or press conference and making various unreasonable demands on the personnel responsible for allowing it. One embassy official even incited some Russian police who were unaware of the truth about Falun Gong to barge into the homes of Russian citizens with guns drawn to capture so called "bad elements" etc.

However, as Russia is an independent and democratic country, we Russian Falun Dafa practitioners have used facts to clarify the truth and have exposed their plots one after another. Thus, more and more people have come to know the truth about Falun Gong. The illegal and inhumane persecution of Jiang's regime towards Falun Gong is now being condemned by more and more representatives in the Russian Duma, by other government officials at various levels, and by the media.

But, in early June 2002, the chief diplomat of the Chinese Embassy in St Petersburg, Chen Yichu, held a so-called Education Exhibition on China. During the exhibition, he publicly repeated the hackneyed and stereotyped expression of so called "suicide" and "murder" to slander Falun Gong. He claimed that the Jiang regime is "educating," and "transforming" the Falun Gong practitioners and told other such lies to deceive Russian citizens.

During the exhibition, one reporter asked Chen Yichu, "The Chinese government is persecuting Falun Gong. This persecution is based on which charter and law in China?" In response, Chen hemmed and hawed and merely repeatedly said, "I have...... decision" "I have.....court....." When the reporter continued to ask him, "Since you cannot present concrete proof based on the law, are you already admitting that China's suppression against Falun Gong is illegal?" Chen Yichu was completely unable to answer the reporter's questions. Therefore he merely bristled and took out his speech that he had pre-written to lecture the Russians, saying that "You all should......" It was just as the reporters commented: "Chen Yichu forgot that this is Russia and not China, where Jiang Zemin has complete control.

During the time that Chen Yichu has been the chief diplomat, certain people from the Chinese Embassy in St Petersburg have spread rumors, hoodwinked, and tempted others with the promise of gain in St Petersburg. They also have threatened Russian Falun Gong practitioners, created blacklists, and done many other bad deeds.

If diplomat Chen has a conscience, we Russian practitioners would like to give him some good advice. China has an ancient saying: "Good is rewarded with good, and evil is met with evil." The persecution of Falun Gong by the Jiang regime is not supported by the people and it will not go on much longer. We hope that you will position yourself properly and not be repudiated in disgrace along with Jiang Zemin.
