"Full of Great Aspirations While Minding Minor Details" Is the Manner of a Dafa Practitioner

He has bountiful virtue and also maintains a benevolent heart; he is full of great aspirations while minding minor details. With broad knowledge of the laws and principles, he is able to unravel uncertainties. Offering salvation to the world and its people, he builds up his merit naturally." ("Sage," Essentials for Further Advancement)

Fa-rectification practitioners have the great aspiration of helping Master to rectify the Fa, but we should also pay attention to minor details. There is no difference between major matters and minor matters in righteous Fa cultivation. The difference is only measured by its manifestation in the superficial, human world. Master had mentioned in Falun Dafa -- Lecture at the Conference of Changchun Assistants: "Things that are shown as commonplace in the ordinary people's world, might be truly in a heroic and grand manner in the dimension of your cultivation." (unofficial translation) Dafa practitioners who do public Dafa work sometimes involuntarily fall into a state of working as if in common society and ignore cultivation, only thinking about how to do the work better. Master said, "Do you realize that as long as you're a cultivator, in any environment or under any circumstances, I will use any troubles or unpleasant things you come across--even if they involve work for Dafa, or no matter how good or sacred you think they are--to eliminate your attachments and expose your demon-nature so that it can be eliminated, for your improvement is what's most important." ("Further Understanding," Essentials For Further Advancement)

Since we live in ordinary people's society, we should pay attention to orderliness in our daily life. Some practitioners always ignore tidiness of a room and their own neatness with the excuse "I am busy. I have no time. These little things do not matter!" Everything we do is left for the future of the Universe, is imprinted in the history of the Universe. Every step we walk is a reference for the future generations; thus we must be pure and righteous in every aspect. One's own neatness and tidiness of a room are not just for the eyes of worldly people, but also represent Dafa practitioners' character.

Dafa practitioners should organize Dafa materials well and store them well, not putting them all over the place after they finish reading. We should be responsible for all beings, no matter what we do. We should be responsible for all beings obtaining the Fa in the future. If we have omission in those "minor details," then the evil forces would utilize this omission to interfere with the practitioners, which might manifest itself in society as a non-practitioner interfering with Dafa. The result might possibly have a negative impact on his life for eternity. This then is no longer a "minor detail;" thus, we must be strict with ourselves in these small things.

Another point is to be respectful toward worldly objects. "The vegetables and grains that we grow are all lives," (Zhuan Falun) so we should cherish the value of their existence. Moreover, fellow practitioners working at materials sites should cherish every piece of paper, every CD disk, and every photo. They are all lives. We should allow them to play their role in Fa-rectification and treasure their values. This is also being responsible for them.

A Dafa practitioner in the Fa-rectification period should correct his every wrong, purify his own word and action with the righteous Fa of the Universe, and correct any mutating factors, be "full of great aspirations while minding minor details" and respect the value of worldly resources to the maximum.
