Practitioners from Seoul Clarify the Truth to 40,000 Chinese-Koreans (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On September 22, 2002, about 40,000 Chinese people of Korean nationality celebrated the Mid-Autumn festival in a major park in Seoul. Crowds of people flowed to the park. A number of red banners imprinted with the yellow words "Falun Dafa Is Good!" that were hung up on the route between the subway station and the Park entrance were very eye-catching. Falun Gong practitioners from Seoul were busy distributing truth-clarifying leaflets and VCDs to these Chinese people of Korean nationality.

We noticed that compared to last year, the Chinese people were more willing to accept Dafa truth-clarifying materials. Almost all people wanted to read the leaflets. Practitioners used their wisdom to prepare two kinds of Chinese truth-clarifying newsletters with contents that were much easier for everyday people to accept. During the Seoul Fa Conference about two weeks ago, fellow practitioners from Taiwan sent us a few thousand Chinese truth-clarifying newsletters. A few days ago, the "Agreement of Speakers," an influential Korean newspaper, devoted a whole page to comprehensively exposing the suspicious points of the "Tiananmen Square Self-Immolation" incident and introducing Resolution 188 passed by the United States House of Representatives in support of Falun Gong. Visitors vied with each other to ask for these newsletters. Practitioners especially prepared 3000 videotapes, which contained popular traditional Korean songs with interludes of Dafa truth-clarifying programs made by Taiwanese practitioners. The 3000 videotapes still fell short of the demand. Some people told us that they would mail the videotape to their homes in Northeast China.

After the Seoul Fa Conference in September, practitioners in the area further realized the importance of being one integral entity working together for the goal of truth-clarification. Many practitioners took turns holding Dafa banners and posters under the scorching sun for 6 hours.

From this event, we realized further the importance and urgency of clarifying the facts to the Chinese people. There were always layer upon layer of crowds in front of the photo posters. Thousands of Chinese people of Korean nationality came to view the photo exhibits. The photo exhibits also helped to start conversations between these Chinese people and the practitioners. After 10 to 30 minutes of conversation, most people expressed their agreement with practitioners' opinions. Some people talked so congenially with practitioners that practitioners applauded them.

The giant celebration concluded around 4 pm. About 5:30 pm, most people left the park. People who left later stopped at our photo exhibits and carefully looked at the photos. Our photo exhibition lasted until 7 pm. After that, there were still some people chatting with practitioners to find out more about Dafa. We were deeply touched and encouraged. We felt that these Chinese people truly wanted to know the real story about Dafa. Still, we realize we have not done enough.
