Courts All Over China Hold Illegal Secret Trials to Sentence Innocent Falun Dafa Practitioners to Long Prison Terms

1. The Yunhe District Court in Cangzhou City, Hebei Province secretly and illegally sentenced ten Falun Dafa practitioners to long prison terms.

On August 19, 2002, Yunhe District Court in Cangzhou City, Hebei Province sentenced ten Falun Dafa practitioners to long prison terms without going through proper legal procedures. The longest term was twelve years, and the shortest one was seven years.

The Court handed down the following illegal verdicts:

Guo Hanpo received a twelve-year sentence.
Wang Bin received an eleven-year sentence.
Yang Quanli received an eleven-year sentence.
Chen Ruihui received an eleven-year sentence.
Gao Daxing received a nine-year sentence.
Wang Xiyi received a nine-year sentence.
Zhu Zhonghe received an eight-year sentence.
Zhang Guodong received an eight-year sentence.
Du Yuqin received an eight-year sentence.
Li Zhifa received a seven-year sentence.

2. The Chaoyang District Court in Changchun City, Jilin Province secretly conducted an illegal trial of Falun Dafa practitioners without notifying their families.

Around August 20, 2002, the Chaoyang District Court in Changchun City, Jilin Province held a secret trial of Falun Dafa practitioners. The police cordoned off the area around the courthouse three days before the trial. No one notified the practitioners' families. Further information regarding the verdict is not available. Also, it is said that the Jilin Province, Changchun City, Liuyuan District Court is going to bring practitioners to trial soon. We are asking all fellow practitioners who hear this information to send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners.

3. The Yitong County Court in Jilin Province secretly conducted an illegal trial of a Falun Dafa practitioner.

Practitioner Wang Taimin, a resident of Yitong County, printed Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials to explain the facts of the persecution of Falun Dafa to people. At the end of September 2000, the Yitong Country police kidnapped him, and detained him at the Yitong County Detention Center for Criminals. There they brutally tortured him, and subjected him to mental persecution. Before the hearing, the court blocked all information about the trial. The court did not allow Wang Taimin to have an attorney, and did not notify his family about the trial. The court then sentenced Wang Taimin illegally to four years in prison, and sent him to a prison in Jilin Province. We call upon the good people around the world to uphold justice, and to help Wang Taimin and other Falun Dafa practitioners.
