Effects of Righteous Thoughts


1. Reciting Teacher's words diverts a police car

In October 2001, while posting truth-clarifying materials, I was followed by a police car. The officer sneered in delight as he had been watching for me in his car. I kept sending forth righteous thoughts. After walking about 100 meters (330 yards), I found the car's headlights were still following alongside of me. Then, in my heart, I started to recite Teacher's article Also in a Few Words,

"Indestructible righteous faith in the cosmos's Truth forms benevolent Dafa disciples' rock-solid, Diamond-Like Bodies, it frightens all evil, and the light of Truth it emanates makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate."

Before I completed my recitation for the second time, the police car, as if it had been ordered, sped away at lightning speed.

2. Looking at but not seeing someone close at hand

In July or August 2001, I went to another community to spread truth-clarifying materials. One day I was inserting some materials through a crack between a door and its frame in a two-story building. Suddenly the door was opened by a young man who was coming out. We were face-to-face, with less than a foot between us, but the young man appeared not to see me at all. He was mumbling loudly, "Where is my lighter?" as he searched his pockets. Then he ran right downstairs after finding it.
