Norway: Promoting Falun Gong at the River Festival in Drammen (Photos)
By Practitioners from Norway
(Clearwisdom.net) On Sunday August 25, 2002, two Dafa practitioners from Oslo
went to the annual River Festival in Drammen, a major Norwegian city that is 40
km from Oslo, in order to promote Falun Dafa. The festival features concerts, a
fun fair, dragon boats, raft racing and bathtub rowing. More than 100 different
events took place during the River Festival.
We found a nice place in a park near the amusement park where the festival
was held. We demonstrated the Dafa exercises, distributed flyers and spoke with
the people about Falun Gong. It seemed that most of the people had not seen
Falun Gong practitioners there before. Many of them stopped and watched our
exercise demonstration with keen interest. It was striking how attentively and
carefully they read our information poster, and many took the flyers themselves. In the late afternoon when we were about to leave, we suddenly got the feeling
that it was not time to go home yet and that we should show the exercises and
distribute the flyers to the people in another part of the amusement park. So we
walked to the amusement park. On our way, we found two Chinese restaurants. We
distributed our materials that were in Chinese (VCD's, etc) to the Chinese
people there. In one restaurant, we talked for a while with a Chinese waitress
and cleared up some misunderstandings she had about Falun Gong.
