By a Dafa Disciple in Mainland China

(Clearwisdom.net) It was dark outside my window. I was quietly reading the newly updated web page for Dafa materials, on which there was a picture that I had just made. There were two lines of words: Greetings to our great and compassionate Teacher, Happy New Year, Teacher!

Happy New Year, Teacher! As I uttered the greeting from the bottom of my heart, my eyes were full of tears. Ever since I obtained the Fa in September 1997, I have been painstakingly taken care of by Teacher. The road that I have walked is so flat and smooth. In April of 1999, ten thousand Dafa disciples went to appeal in Beijing. On July 25, 1999, the evil persecution began. At that time my girlfriend was in Beijing. She participated in the peaceful appeal in July but was sent back to her university. Through several setbacks, she was permitted to be back home (it was summer vacation then). It was required that she not go to Beijing any more. At that time, I wrote a vague so-called "guarantee letter" [not to practice Falun Dafa]. Later I published a solemn declaration on Clearwisdom, stating that I voided my "guarantee letter." Throughout that black July, slander and attacks followed. I felt somewhat lost for a time, but I deeply believed that Teacher, who had led me to a new life, is righteous.

The computer skills that I had learned in my childhood were then utilized to their full potential. I found methods of breaking network blockades one by one and obtained Dafa news from Minghui and Zhengjian [Chinese Falun Dafa websites]. I could read Teacher's new scriptures again. This made me very happy and excited. I also passed these materials on to my fellow practitioners, following the path that our compassionate Teacher pointed out.

In 2000, I graduated from the university and worked in a company. My job presented a very convenient situation, where I could easily browse the Internet. This was another careful arrangement by Teacher. Since then, I have quietly utilized the facilities provided by Teacher for spreading the Fa. I used the Internet to spread the Fa and also printed out some truth-clarification material. However, it wasn't until the summer of 2001 that I finished distributing the printed materials, due to the attachment of fear. In 2001, Teacher arranged for me to come to Beijing. Just several days after joining a new company, the company provided me with a high-speed Internet connection. Once again, I felt this was another arrangement by Teacher, and I saw this as my responsibility. I thus obtained tools for breaking the Internet blockade. I understood all the more that I must do well in spreading the Fa and protecting the Fa using the Internet. In November, I began making web pages to host Dafa materials with the aim of letting fellow practitioners in China obtain Dafa materials and news in a timely manner. I selected some free space on websites based outside China and uploaded our materials. In this way, fellow practitioners and other people in China could read the materials without having to know how to break the blockade.

In the beginning, I was very concerned about how many people browsed the web page. Later, by eliminating my human attachments bit by bit, my thoughts changed and I no longer paid attention to how many people visited the website. My only wish was to let fellow practitioners have access to Teacher's new scriptures through this web page, who otherwise would have no way to get Dafa news. And, I hoped that some people that hadn't positioned themselves well who read the materials on this web page would change their minds and not be against Dafa.

With the intensification of the evil blockade, the web page was often blocked. I kept thinking up new countermeasures, and was always able to restore the capability of downloading these important materials within 24 hours. In the meantime, a better and better web page began to develop in front of my eyes, which made me again realize my great responsibility.

One weekend in December of 2001, I decided to go to Tiananmen Square to rectify the Fa. On Saturday, with the help of Teacher, I found good material for making a banner: a scarf. That night I made a banner while listening to the melodious music of Pudu and Jishi. In the morning, I said to a colleague who lived in the same room with me: "I will come back soon." I arrived at Tiananmen Square with only my return fare in my pocket. Before I went, I said to Teacher, "Your disciple will go openly and nobly and come back openly and nobly." With the care of Teacher, I arrived at Tiananmen Square with no incident and unfolded the banner, calling out the words: "Falun Dafa is good!" The people who surrounded me said, "Good!" again and again while I continued to speak. Someone also told me, "Hurry up and leave, they will arrest you!" Later I safely left Tiananmen Square. On the way back I found that I had again changed substantially.

Meanwhile, I would always clarify the truth about Dafa to my colleagues and friends whenever I had a chance. In daily life, I also required myself to assimilate to Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance. I will not bring shame to Dafa with my words and behaviour. My colleagues at work felt that I was a good person, and a lot of people came to understand Dafa in a positive way.

I left that company in August of 2002 and in September, I bought a CD burner and a printer. While maintaining the web page and spreading Dafa through the Internet, I also began to make truth-clarification VCDs and CDs. I try my best to clarify the truth and give materials to all those whom I come into contact with, including the taxi drivers who drove me to work every morning.

From the experience of my Fa-rectification activities, I have always felt a kind of predestined relationship in people, a longing on the part of the sentient beings to know the Fa. In this period of time that the Fa is entering the human world, I will continue trying my best to take hold of every opportunity that Teacher arranges for me to clarify the truth of Dafa and save sentient beings.

Here I also hope that fellow practitioners that have not stepped forward, please look at the longing eyes of those around you and do well as a Dafa disciple in this Fa-rectification period. Also, to those people who understand the truth of Dafa, please extend your righteous hands and tell those around you. Let them understand what is good and what is evil, thus delivering goodness to the hands of every person.
